A buddy bought a team autographed ball at an auction last weekend and is wondering what its value is. I figured no place better to find out so assuming its a legit ball with authentic sigs from our current roster what do you think its worth?? Keep in mind a ball signed only by TMac...yea i know i know...sells for 250

A ball signed by Tmac may be selling for $250, but no ones buying it.

Heres a relevant piece of information. An ball signed by Kobe (with a certificate of authenticity) sold on ebay for $68.

I wasnt trying to teach you the meaning of life. I was just trying to teach you that you should know the true value of something before you try to sell it.

Case in point. Werent you trying to sell a used pistol earlier for the same price that a brand new one (of the same make/model) costs?

So what you are saying is I should find out what the ACTUAL going price might be for the ball...hmm...that sounds...vaguely...familiar??? oh yea...

and just fyi on the gun the cheapest I had seen it new was 448 at a gun show and i sold mine for 400.

Yes, your original post was asking about its value, but after you found out that it was worth nowhere near what you expected, you stopped worrying about value and started focusing on being an ass.

The cheapest I found it online was $415. I'm glad you sold yours.

actually i didn't focus on being an ass until you helped me "find out how much its worth" by saying nobody wants a tmac ball and by saying how much a kobe signed ball recently sold for.

yes it is only worth what someone will pay for it

yes nobody wants to buy the tmac ball

and no the value of a random ebay kobe ball has absolutely NOTHING to do with the value of a team autographed ball to local fans...

let me rephrase my original post to make it more simple since obviously it was too complicated to incur a reasonable and helpful response...

How much would you be willing to pay for an authentic team autographed rockets ball??

If you read carefully, I said no one will buy a McGrady autographed ball for $250.

If you think the price of a ball autographed by only McGrady is relevant, then the price of a ball autographed by only Kobe must be relevant too. Think about it.

    Good luck with your sale.

A COA is just a piece of paper. Anyone can print it. No way that Kobe ball is real.
