We all want an upgrade in SF position but melo, granger and even Iggy maybe too far fetched. For something more realistic, would you want to trade battier+a pick for Tayshaun prince? Its not a lateral trade considering prince is much better offensively and can hold his own defensively, perhaps even better than battier now that he's a step slower...

    We need beef, imo...

    Gerald Wallace (Ex Adelman...)

I would give a nut for Jeff Green, but he isn't going anywhere.

If we are commited to Brooks/Martin, we need a rangy 3 that can board and protect the rim.

Yea, we all do. But the sad truth is, all these SFs are likely not going to be traded, or at least not without a significant cost to our roster. The pistons are going no where. They will most likely tank 100% and we can grab a few steals from their veteran starters if that's the case.

Iggy or G. Wallace. Both of their teams are off to a bad start. There's talks about Philly needing a change. Larry Brown is freaking out cause he has no PG. Morey has some options but those two should be high on the list.

Hold on to those picks for a star upgrade, not a small upgrade.

    wouldnt mind prince.

we've got SOOOO much assets that even if we use a few of it on prince, we'd still have plenty to go after the other big trade stars.

I'd give jared jefferies and chuck hayes and jermaine taylor and ish smith plus a pick swap..

What stars are left? Or are you saying we need to draft a star?

That might be available or become available via trade this season? Iguodala, Carmelo, Steve Nash, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, Chauncey Billups

    LMAO..Williams?! cp3?!!! LMAOOOOO

There is only a couple of stars that might actually be available this season, and how many of them can we realistically target? How many of them actually wants to come to Houston?

    Not many, if any.

So we should just get whatever we can get our hands on before the stock runs out.

I agree, there are options for Morey:
    * Philly's head coach, Doug Collins, loves Battier
    * Brown would love a 'shoot first' PG/SG (read Iverson): Brooks

Getting Iggy or G-Wallace is not impossible, folks!

Adelman loves his guards, giving up one of them will be hard for him.

Been talking about getting Prince the moment we traded Ariza. Seems much more realistic than what most fans are proposing. He looks healthy so far this season and should produce his typical career numbers....13 points, 5 rebs, 3 assists, 46%FG, with good perimeter defense, and most importantly should help to open up the offense a little simply by actually being involved in it.

The problem is his contract is only this year. Only way I can see it happening is if we give them Battier and a younger building block. I don't want to give up too much for possibly only a one year rental. Maybe he could agree on an extension as part of the trade?

Prince is a good player but he's not the efficient upgrade we need. What we have at SF is as efficient as he is. He's not an upgrade.
