Does Taylor have the ball handeling skills to backup Brooks at PG is we don't sign Lowry? I've seen him play a little, but not enough to answer definitively. Is he purely a 2, or can he play both like Brooks?
He could, but I wouldn't want him too. He still doesn't have the playmaking skills to be a PG so he'd just bull rush his way to the hole or take a jumper from the outside. It'd become a lot of iso ball, like we did with Tracy.
Adelman's offense does NOT have to have a playmaker at the PG. I think Taylor's size and athleticism would be interesting to see at the PG position. I'm not saying that it would work, but I'd be interested in seeing if it would. I can see him showing the same promise that Garrett Temple showed flashes of.
I don't think hes ever heard of the word "pass". His first words as a baby was, "Shoot." And he's been doing that ever since.
He may be able to handle the ball but he from what happened last yr and summer league (not so much as last year). He always geting himself trapped when he has the ball to make a play.
He would need that Globetrotter ball that has the rubber band on it, because in no way would he be giving up the rock. DD
Gary Payton and the rest of the fun police would have no problem filling their quotas if Taylor was a PG.
