Hey hows it goin? Any way i was thinking about getting a tattoo sometime soon and I was wondering if any of you have tattoos. If so could you give some information on them, like how much it hurts and stuff like that.Your info would be much appreciated ------------------ “To know what you know and to know what you don’t know is a characteristic of one who knows.”
Don't have any, but I know a bit. Pain factor depends on where you get it done. From what I know, it hurts, but nothing terrible. Some even like the little pain it gives - almost soothing. Make sure you go to a reputable place - otherwise you can get something really bad. ------------------ rimbaud post-a-thon 2000
I've been considering one myself. My wife has one that goes around her ankle. She said it hurt when they worked on her achillies but the rest wasn't too bad - more like a sunburn. I have to assume that the more muscles in the area (upper arm, leg, etc), the less pain. The more sensitive areas like the face, stomach or hands might REALLY hurt. ------------------ "No one gets out ALIVE!" SaveOurRockets.com
i too feel like getting a tatoo. A black dragon on my shoulder. I heard it feels like someone slapping your shoulder while you have a bad sunburn. ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?" Keith olbermann, after watching hakeem block terry catledge's shot 5 times.
Do any of you know where good places are around Houston ------------------ “To know what you know and to know what you don’t know is a characteristic of one who knows.”
Find out where Dragon Mike is. I've been told he is the best. ------------------ "No one gets out ALIVE!" SaveOurRockets.com

Looks like Im the only one with a tatoo. I got mine 2 years ago when I was on a trip to New York. I got a Barb Wired tatoo on my left arm, ( On the bicep). It hurt alot but I dont regret it. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris FAN CLUB
One of those Goldberg thingies? You gonna put another on your other bicep that says, "I agree"? ------------------ Want to participate in a mock draft on the BBS? Click here.
I really don´t like tatoos...they may make your body look nice today but what about later...is it still that difficult to remove tatoos?
I downloaded a pic of the Goldberg tattoo for reference. Its a really cool design. I'm going to get something similar in a few weeks. ------------------ We need some meat in the post!
I want to get one on my chest. More specifically on my left pec. I want it to be my wife's name, either in another language or in some nice calligraphy looking style. If anyone knows of a cool looking language that can spell her name let me know, its: LAKISHA
Anyone find out where this Dragon Mike place is at? I am thinking about getting one too. Something written in Arabic, Sanskrit or Chinese. I dont know much about tattoos but I have seen people with Arabic and Chinese writings. ------------------
That's a good point. The effects of aging and gravity over time make most tattoos become just blotches of ink which no longer resemble anything. Most people don't consider this going in and are now lining up to have them removed via laser surgery. So, if your going to get a tattoo, then also consider what your body is going to look like later on and how you may have to get it removed later on. It also hurts more to remove a tattoo than to put one on and requires several laser treatments to remove...not just one. Surf ------------------
Stay away from Shaw's. I got a flaming purple and green sun on my back at Screamin' Demon. Nice, clean, affordable. They're called Miss Fortune now, so I don't know if that's new management or just a name change. Both are on Westheimer. ------------------ Brought to you by the letter M.
I've gotten much work at Texas Tattoo Emporium. Its right next to the Bhuddist Temple that used to be the cigar shop that used to be Dragon Mikes! I've only gotten work done from Andrew, he owns the place and does super good work. If you see a big Dodge truck out front, he's there. BTW, I only ever bring my own artwork I've found from books or whatever and not the stuff off the walls. Another word of advice is BE SPECIFIC! Don't just let a tattoo artist do what they want! Its your skin and your money! Heres the link to Texas Tattoo Emporium, check it out for yourself: http://www.texastattoo.com/ ------------------ "Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. According to the Bible, God is not approval of tattoos. That portion of the Bible said that man shalt not cut or mark his skin. ------------------ [This message has been edited by DJ (edited June 04, 2001).]
As a youth and raised as a Catholic, I read that also. As an adult however, I don't believe in the bible nor heaven nor hell...but thats probably another thread. ------------------ "Beware the lollipop of mediocrity. Lick once and you suck forever."
