im getting a new tattoo and i want it to be professionally done this time. i dont want to spend a super lot of money, but i dont want it to turn out bad because i paid a cheap price. do you guys have any recommendations on where i should go in houston to get it done?
never had one done in h-town...i heard some place called something dragon on i-10 in between dairy ashford and something elso going east on the south side of i-10 (if that makes since) is good. maybe not, but ive had a couple of friends get tattoos there and they were nice tats... enjoy
My friend Andrew owns his own tattoo place. >>>>>>>Texas Tattoo Emporium.<<<<<<<<<<< He works at the lower Westheimer location. Nice guy, I've got lots of work from him. His girlfriend is also doing skinart too. You might try her for that feminine touch! Heres the site. Good Luck! http://www.texastattoo.com
What ever the hell you get, make sure you post a .jpg of it. I live vicariously through other peoples tatoos.
Getting one on your forehead hurts. And if it says "**** You!", you're limiting your job opportunities.
You gotta really feel bad for all the idiots that got "Poison" or "Ratt" tatoos in real visible places in the 80's. How embarasing would that be right about now?
i already have one tattoo. im not into those big gross ones that the whole world can see. the one i have is small and on my lower back. im planning on getting the new tattoo near the old one. i dont know if i should wait till the end of the summer or get it now. if i get it now then i cant go swimming for a while.
I got my first tatto about 14 years ago. The only thing I regretted was the tattoo artist sucked! What a terrible inkjob it was! I later had to cover it, but have gotten many more excellent ones since. I've never regretted getting them and look foward to getting a few more in my lifetime (still wanna get the back done if I ever go to Japan and have loads of cash). I have just always found them fascinating and it all just comes down to a matter of taste like in anything else. I guess I'm lucky I intended to be who I still am at the age of almost 36. Some people do these things when they are young and later regret them when their life rules chage or whatever. Just be for sure you wanna get a tattoo and go to a good artist. Ottomaton: gonna scan some tonite and post a few!
Tattoos are certainly not for everyone, and if you think they are widely accepted in the business community you are sorely mistaken. I have several friends that got them in College or when they were younger and every single one of them wishes they could take it back. It is for life, and your perspective changes for most people as they get older, married, and have kids. It is a lifestyle choice, but the main argument against it, is that it NEVER goes away. DaDakota PS. No one looks down on anyone Rimmy, I just look at it in a realistic light, and tattoos are far from accepted everywhere.
when i got mine though, thats exactly what i was thinking. i started imagining myself when im 50something. probably a totally different person. and even though thats probably true, i can look down at my arm, and remember how stupid and confused and excited about life i was when i was 20years old. ill remember how i felt during this time in my life. itll force me to think about that. and when im fifty maybe ill regret it but ill have to remember this other person, he wont die. plus i have a million regrets already and ive only lived two decades. f**k that. im going to get a couple more. i dont even want to live long enough to regret them. im the perfect person to have tatoos.
I have a hunch that the majority of people who get tattoos in visible places aren't too concerned about being "accepted in the business community."
DaDa, You were looking down in that you *know* how things will turn out - the person will regret it, they will not be accepted in "civilized" circles, etc. People are different you don't know - even in practical, real world, application. My wife has three tatoos - one of which is very visible. She also happens to make a six figure salary for a conservative financial company. She just got promoted...again. Oddly enough, they value her more than just about anyone in the department - seems the fact that she is talented is more important than any tatoos she might have on display. Besides, that is an extreme example. How many tatoos are really visible when men and women must wear suits to work every day? When would DM, with a tatoo on her lower back, ever be discovered while working at some company, if she so desired? I just think your view is too narrow...and I do not have any tatoos, would probably never get one, and am not a big fan in general.
Or they're just too young to make an informed decision. I know someone who has to wear long sleeve shirts to work everyday, even when it's 100 degrees, just to hide his tatoos that he got at a younger, wilder age. Believe it or not, most kids these days aren't really planning for the future. This does not apply to DMonkey, I'm just talking in general.
