    I remember reading that Don Simpson or Jerry Bruckheimer acknowledged the homo in this movie.

    It's a pretty interesting take, kind of hard to believe they intentionally used gay undertones in this movie.

    It might have been in Premier but when Don Simpson died Jerry B. said something like they stole a ton from 80's gay subculture and incorporated it into all their films (Flashdance, Top Gun, Beverly Hills Cop). Top Gun takes the cake though.

    BTW Don Simpson was the sickest wildest mofo in Hollywood during the 80s. Heidi Fleiss refused to send girls to this guy.
