Just a thought but ...... If this "missed the game last night" continues .... we, the guys who get all the games, could start taping them for some members and "samedaying" the tape out. Not as logistically a nightmare as some may think. Recycling tapes could bring the cost to about $10-12(delivery service) a game. Just a suggestion for my "Rocket Brothers in Need!" Other's thoughts? Actually that is what I had in mind. A Tape Exchange. I get all the Rocket games, and like HeyPee and others get to see as many games live at the Compaq (and four or five out of towners a year) as is humanly possible. But I still would like to see some games of other opponents in other venues. Especially key opponents and key games. And, other guys who don't get any games or as many as they want could contact tsomeone on the list, etc... A tape exchange with the only expense as a FedEx, Overnight, etc... it would not be too cost prohibitive. Open for discussion.
following oeilpere to the hangout --------------------------------- this sounds like a job for ... napster. how about renaming it...popster. it is a revolution, a backlash against the NBA and their expensive seats. popster allows for the exchange of games. and version 2 purports to allow you connect your entertainment center directly to the popster servers so others can d/l while you are recording. Don't tell Jeff though. popster is not good for arena votes.

I'll definately want to pay for a game where Francis blows up and has huge stats and monster dunks. If somebody wants to trade whenever I need a game I can send you a tape in return, I don't have many Rockets tapes, but I do have quite a lot of tapes of when Steve Francis was at Maryland (you could also get those tapes to check out possible Rocket draft pick Terence Morris ripping up ACC teams with Franchise). If anyone is interested in the Maryland tapes, please reply. P.S. I've got Steve's high-point game where he throws down 6 dunks. I've also got the game where he plays against Collier and throws down a huge dunk all over him (he had 5 dunks that game). ------------------
If you can wait two days, Priority Mail from the US postal service is pretty good -- and it's something like $2.60 for up to 2 pounds. They will also give you the box, label, and tape it up for you. Just a suggestion. ------------------ Stay Cool...
FYI, I tape every game and keep it until the next game, unless the previous game was a temporary keeper. Does that make sense?? Like I said, I have the Houston/Charlotte game if anyone wants it.
