I`ve been away from Houston since 1997, but have been back a few times since to visit. I`ve heard from friends about this gang, and how they are literally everywhere and how much of a menace they are. Any personal experiences?
I got an Astros logo tattooed on my arm about 7 years ago. Apparently I am like the presidente de la clique and stuff.
they don`t have a president. they don`t have any structure. they can apparently do whatever they want without any internal reprocussions. i heard they wear any houston sports teams apparel, including the rockets. and the texans logo with the horns cracked is used to "diss" the texas syndicate. i even saw a guy with an oilers logo tattoo reppin Houstone.
It's mostly a Prison gang. I know some buddies that used to be Crips, went to County and came out Tango Blast. Texas only. A gang is a gang. From what they told me all the "work" is done in Prison. You can't get and Astro's logo tattoo now unless you want to be associated with them even by mistake.
this is not true. they do have a structure. it may be looser than other prison gangs like TS and Mexican Mafia but they are organized with military style rankings. my previous post was in jest. I'm a 30 something year old white dude who likes gay indie music. highly unlikely that I'm president of a hispanic prison gang.
It's mostly houson astros star that represent tango blast i believe. One tattoo parlor up north call astro city got raided by these gangs because they were tattooing anybody with the astros star without their permission. So becareful getting an astro logo on your body. So I was going to get an Astros Star Logo on my back right shoulder in the near future. Should I now consider this a bad idea?
It will not effect you in any way unless you go to prison and even then, you can pretty much just say your not interested if anything pops off. Shane Battier could join this gang.

That may be the technical reason, but if TDCJ was really worried about them, they would be all classified and thrown in AD SEG. A fabricated written constitution of a weak prison gang wouldn't be hard to create.
