I am looking for some good tamales; to me that means, pork with little masa and very picoso (spicy). Willing to buy today or any other day for that matter. I always love to eat them. If you know someone or if you do tamales, hit me up on this thread. I'm sure this will proivde you a little exposure. Lets eat some TAMALES..... Tim
We got Pappasito's tamales for Christmas Eve. They're incredibly good. $12.95 for a dozen but each one's pretty big.

I live just a block or two away. After your post I had a craving and went and bought a dozen pork for $11.50. Well worth it. Eat the tamales with the green tomatillo sauce for best effect.
mexican tamales are beyond the gates of the infierno, you have to go central american. Try 'Sabor' on 5712 Bellaire Blvd, Houston.
$7 a dozen. This lady at the Wal-Mart on West Rd & 45 makes some bomb ass tamales. Restaurant made tamales are weak as hell. If you aren't buying them out of a trunk of a car, they won't be good.
Alamo Tamales is my favorite. They have handmade and machine made, of course handmade are the best. I personally like the pork most. I goto the one at 809 Berry Road Houston, TX 77022, it's ghetto looking but good. Apparently they have other locations and a website. I've been eating tamales for days and days and more days.
i've had them at la mexican and they are good! that is a great restaurant too. i know the SE corner of 11th and studemont, there is a place called tamale factory that looks like it was converted from an old stop n' go. not sure if they are any good but i've been meaning to try it out.
