TALIBAN LIKELY TO KILL N.Y.'S JIHAD JACKASS

By AL GUART and GREG RUSSELL
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

November 11, 2001 -- New York-raised Muslim Muhammad Junaid could be murdered by the Taliban forces he says he is bidding to join - but risks a death sentence if he abandons his personal jihad and returns to the United States.
Intelligence sources say Taliban chiefs have become increasingly suspicious of Western-born Muslims who have rushed to the war zone in recent weeks, claiming it is their religious duty to take up arms against the United States-led allied forces.

Junaid joined a group of British Muslims who last week attempted to link with the Taliban. But experts say they are on a suicide mission.

The chance that a Westerner could be a spy is a risk Taliban warlords will not take, sources said.

"One or two extra soldiers are not worth it. These people [the Taliban] would slit an outsider's throat rather than risk compromising their cover," a source said.

Junaid, 26, boasted last week he had quit his $70,000-a-year job in New York and had bought a one-way ticket to Pakistan a week after his mother was rescued from the Twin Towers on Sept. 11.

"I will kill every American that I see in Afghanistan," Junaid said in a televised interview. "And I'll kill every American soldier I see in Pakistan."

Junaid's statements and actions could prompt charges which carry the death penalty if he sets foot on U.S. soil again, legal experts said.

"This sounds prosecutable under the Sedition Act," said former federal prosecutor Sean O'Shea. "It would call for the death penalty."

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said: "We should use every legal step we have against him."

<b>"I will kill every American that I see in Afghanistan," Junaid said in a televised interview. "And I'll kill every American soldier I see in Pakistan." </b>

To bad your "friends" are going to kill you idiot. How many times have the news from all over the world said these people are on suicide missions and it isn't a religious war and that the Taliban and Osama bin Laden are murderers who kill and torture their own people, and how many idiots like this fall for it? Here is a guy who is an American who is threatening to kill Americans for some guy in a renegade country that has no respect for it's own people. Oh well, that guy's screwed. He wanted to die for the Taliban, looks like he got his wish. That jihad sure is worth it huh? One amusing note is how paranoid the Taliban has become.

Let me get this straight, this nutcase quit a nice job in New York to go help the people who almost killed his mother try and kill the people who RESCUED his mother! Man there are some stupid people in this world.

I thought I would never say this, but somebody needs to put this clown out of his misery, whether it's us or his precious Taliban.

To quit a $70,000 job is enough right there for me to think that.

Errr... $70,000 in New York (assuming NYC) ain't that much money, so he probably sucked as a programmer, too.

It's good money to me. Remember, Doc, I'm an up and coming business professional living in Tennessee.

Yea, a computer programmer in NY would probably be making something like that.

    I guess it's obvious that I'm underpaid.

Is your rent $2000 a month? Did your landlord require that you make 40-45X your monthly rent?

Don't worry. Your're probably not underpaid.

BTW, what do you program in?

Rent is free because I live in my granny's house.

Although I have a degree in math, I am not a programmer. I am a cost estimator/financial analyst with not much experience. That's one of the reasons I'm going to school at night to get my MBA.

The Taliban is smarter than I thought. If this dude were a CIA operative, I can't think of a better way to grease his way into Afghanistan than to plant this story in the New York Post lambasting him as a traitor. Maybe he's a for-real jackass, but doesn't it sound a little too, uh, bad to be true?

Either way this piece of trash is a dead man walking. One less idiot the world needs to deal with. Now if we can just get someone to take out everyone that has ever been on Jerry Springer the world will be a better place.
