This is my new favorite hot sauce. I've been drinking the stuff lately. It is very good. Anyone else tried it? I recommend it highly. I've been eating it on every thing. Roast last night, Spaghetti, Lean Pockets, Sandwiches, etc... Man I'm gonna go eat some now. I really like the Green Pepper sauce also. Anyone ever heard of/had their Habanero sauce?
Cholula, Cholula, Cholula. End of story. Cajun Power Garlic Sauce rocks as well. Check out Spec's downtown, they've got some good stuff there that you can't find most anywhere else.
I read somewhere that high hot sauce intake contributes to weakened erections. Although the latest census numbers refute that.
Allrighty then, tough guy, hit Spec's & look for Calypso Habanero Sauce. That should do ya right. Thanks guy, I need a beach towel to clean the water off my monitor now.
Yeah, right...Tell that to A-Train, Jr... Cholula is awesome. Hooters also has an excellent hot sauce. I haven't tried the other varieties of Tabasco, but the original just doesn't do anything for me. It's all heat and not much flavor. Louisiana Hot Sauce is in my cabinet right now. Not too hot, but flavorful and dirt cheap. I can get a big bottle for under $1.00. Considering how much hot sauce I go through, price matters...
If your eyes don't water and your nose doesn't run--it ain't hot enough! What is the name of that Vietmanese hot-sauce? Spiracha..or something like that? That stuff is narely!!
That Louisiana hot sauce stuff is nasty. It's like watered-down vinegar with some pepper thrown in! A-Train you goof. Anyway, whoever said that the Hooters Hot Sauce isn't bad is right. It tastes pretty good. But the 2 hot sauces I like the most right now and use most often are : Dave's Ultimate Insanity Sauce Endorphin Rush I also have some of this stuff, but haven't tried it : Da Bomb - Ground Zero There are concentrated pepper extracts that you can buy that are far hotter than anything above. Usually you add about a couple of drops into a gallon of chili and you'll feel the heat. I don't touch that stuff.
Kuong ot Sriracha. Damn good stuff. Here's their website, they've got lots of other good stuff as well: http://www.huyfong.com/no_frames/sriracha.htm
Sriracha (sp?) tastes ok, but I don't think it's really hot. Sometimes it's too dang garlicky or something.
Oh my god YES!!! I think that's the new version of his "Total Insanity" version. I tried that at a sub place here (literally I dipped a toothpick in and tasted the tip). IT IS THE HOTTEST THING I'VE EVER TRIED. If you want hot, try it, but BEWARE. I was running to the Code Red. The guys at the counter even had to come over and console me by giving me some scolding hot cream of broccoli (which I couldn't even feel because of the sauce). It's hard to believe something can be that spicy. Unbelievable. And it's mainly like juices from the peppers (only chiles, NO HABENEROS in Total Insanity). INSANE!!!
About 6 years ago, I used to work at this credit union and there was a Hooters across the street. Every once in a while, I would go there after work to eat dinner. I would always get 2 orders of the buffalo shrimp (10 piece thing) with hot sauce. After one very stressful day, I told them to give me the hottest sauce they had. They bring out this 5 mile island sauce (I think that is what its name was). It was the ONLY time that I could not finish eating all 20 pieces (I think I stopped at 17). I couldn't even feel my tastebuds when I was done! I went home and felt okay and then it happened...I woke up around 6 in the morning with the worst case of indigestion ever. The only time I have ever had to use pepto bismol and this wasn't the first time that I have eaten really spicy stuff. I have gone back a couple of times since, but I have never told them to give me the 5 mile island sauce. Speaking of hot things, I think horseradish is extremely hot.
Taco Bell fire sauce is the weakest hot sauce ever. Regular old Tabasco is good enough for me. I love going to Mexican restraunts and when they bring in the salsa, if it's not hot enough, I drink it all and ask them to bring some hotter salsa.
i like cholula and franks red hot (reminds me of eating hot-wings). my mom and my sister make some pretty good (and damn spicy) home-made hot sauces too.
I'm already sick of the word Chipotle. I didn't hear of it until recently, now it is everywhere. Stop!
