I saw it as just released and decided to buy it. What a letdown. I guess the message was ok, but TI and T2 were definitely much better, IMHO. Does anyone know if there are plans to continue the series, or is it all over. With the way the dialogue was going, it sounds like there are going to be some more sequels.
I don't know if they will or not. The cost of T3 went over $100 million and it just pulled over $100 million in the box office. Not such a great profit. T3's story sucked but the action was decent. Overall, a let down compared to the others.
I thought T-1 and 2 were the best movies ever when they came out. T-3 was a huge disappointment for me. Arnold is too old and in politics now. I doubt that we will see T-4. Might as well.
I wouldn't see a need for Arnold in any more of the Terminator series since he wouldn't have to be sent back anymore. They would be fighting the mahines in their mechanical forms and the t101's could be any person.
Every thing seems unknown right now. Terminator 4 When it was first announced, this movie was expected to be filmed soon after Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, but with that film moving ahead, Variety now (6/22/00) reports that this film is still "in development", with no word about when filming is now scheduled to start. (7/6/03) With T3 opening up to solid numbers, the producers are already talking about this movie, but there is thus far, no firm word about when filming might actually start. (9/18/03) It's possible filming could start as early as sometime in 2004 for a summer, 2005 release.
T3 wasn't as good as the first two... I actually saw it when it was released...The action was subpar and it tried to be too funny and ended up being corny... The girl is hot though
T3 was vastly inferior to the previous 2 films, but it was still a good movie that I enjoyed watching. The crane chase was incredible and the ending was surprisingly ballsy for a summer action flick. If they had played it straight the entire time and left out the jokes(like the infamous "tahk to dah hend"), it would've been a lot better. The biggest problem with T3 was that T2 had all but ended the story, plus the first 2 movies were so great that a third one would've never been able to live up to their legacy. It's pretty much the same situation Godfather III was in. As far as T4 is concerned, it's rumored that they're going forward with it for a Summer 2005 release. Obviously, Ahnuld won't be in it for anything more than a cameo appearance. But that's ok since the story would presumably focus on John Connor, his wife, and the war against the machines.
Movies.com is saying its rumored that The Rock may be in T4. I like The Rock but I cant imagine him being in a Terminator movie.
Acctuly the cost of T3 was $270 Million and it pulled in just around that much in the box office, where are you getting your #'s from? & i liked T3 alot waiting for part 4 to come out
geez that is sooo much money to make a movie. its makes you wonder if the money could have went to a better use.
Yea i kno its crazzy $270 mill, Arnold took $30 million alone for this movie thats unheard of, i remember it was on CNN.
Over on Yahoo. Look at #63 on the archived list. http://movies.yahoo.com/boxoffice/20031017/rank.html It says that it made $150 million.
The first two Terminator movies are classics. They're among the best action/adventure films of all time. I've been curious about the third one, but reviews have been pretty harsh. Plus, the trailers were absolutely terrible. Comments here seem to echo that sentiment, but I'm sure I'll rent it someday.
T3 was pretty much T2 with a new skin. Everything was the same. The only thing that I did like was that the terminator in T3 was more easier to kill than the T-1000. I was expecting to see a new badass terminator get killed in some bizarre off the wall way.
