pretty good with the time he has been given. Even though it's on a bad team out there Sac I look for them to be on the rise in few years maybe even next year. I think the young man picked a good spot for himself. Seems to be fitting the all-purpose guy out there by the stat sheet numbers. Hated to see us give up on the kid when we got k-mart flaking out on us. Oh well, such is life.
He has talent, but we didn't have room in the rotation for him while trying to make a playoff push. Unfortunate, but with him in a contract year, we did him a favor.
AFS true we did but compared to what we are getting from K-mart now... I think we could have found a role for him behind Courtney Lee. TG go to ESPN. com and look them up:grin:
I've tuned into the last few Kings games out of curiosity, and he's looked great, to be honest. His jumper's falling, he's dropping dimes in the open floor left and right, and he's been very aggressive defensively. Keith Smart's really high on him, and he's been playing heavy minutes recently. Averaging 11 pts (.51 FG%), 5.6 reb, and 3.6 ast over his last 5.
Coulda been the backup point guard on Rockets besides Boykins or Fortson. But after the Rockets didnt extend his contract, he didnt want to give it his all for the Rockets. But Morey actually did him a favor waiving him so he could find his own team "in his contract year". And by the way - [Official] Terrence Williams in a Sac Kings Uniform thread http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=217240
I thought that he would have been a great back-up point guard for us given our need. He has great handles, vision, strength, tall, athletic and unselfish. He even mentioned at one point that he considers himself a 1. I was surprised that we waived him given the circumstance but his downfall is his attitude. He has this sense of entitlement. He has great potential and is till young. I hope he doesnt turn out to be Lin pt. 2.
Whatever was holding him back, whether it was us or himself - I hope its all over now and Im glad he has found a role on that team. I hope he can finish the season strong enough to be a permanent player on a teams rotation. We should have just gave him to the Cavs for a 2nd round pick. He could have had a bigger role there.
Do not want if he turns us into the Kings! His tweener games is not what the team needs... We saw that with Morris. We need some good SGs that can flatout score but with a better build than Martin.
He's on a team that plays recklessly, doesn't defend and fails to execute outside of transition opportunities and anytime DeMarcus Cousins decides to play seriously. So, he's on the perfect team. They're playing with nothing to lose, and that's the way he likes to play.
to all you tards that love T-Wills http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NjgPDIeSXA This is what you all sound like^^^^.. injoy zzpot.
It is not hindsight to ask why the organization let him go for nothing when they might have need of his abilities if someone got hurt (Lowry cough cough). I said it then....they have to pay the guy, why release him? DD
The Rockets needed a PG who can play in a team-oriented offense. The Kings just play streetball. Hence why T-Will can put up numbers on the Kings but not on the Rockets.
Lowry was already out (hospitalized and everything) when they released Williams. There is no "if." They knew what they needed and they didn't think Williams was the answer. He has not performed well on court for the Rockets and was not behaving well, either (missing practice, etc.). Everyone knew he had talent, but he just wasn't gonna work out for this team. Best of luck to him in SAC, where a more iso-heavy scheme (and a team that isn't really in a playoff race) seem to be a better situation for him. As for the Rockets, I am happy enough that the minutes that would have gone to Williams are now taken by Lee, Budinger and Morris.
I like the guy a lot. I wanted to see him get at least 5 games at +25mins just out of curiosity! It got so frustrating with him here that I didn't care where he ended up, just out of a love for basketball, I wanted to see what he could do on the court.
