Looks pretty sweet. EngadgetMobile.com has had a lot of talk about it. Something I'll keep my eye on for next year. <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/E0f54DmA4Os&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/E0f54DmA4Os&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
Looks awesome. Pretty big. the Touch Pro 2 is already a bit bulky in the pocket. This one is thinner since it doesn't have a physical keyboard. I'm not a fan of the touch keyboard but with a huge screen like that the keys should be easy to hit.
im waiting for the NOKIA N900 on Tmobile; rumor of $50 all inclusive unlimited plan... mameo is the next jump in evolution for mobile os
It sucks seeing T-mobile and Sprint drop such awesome phones while I'm stuck with AT&T and their piece of $h!t iPhone designed for illiterate people. I refuse to get the iphone, I refuse to limit myself to such a narrow non-customizable piece of crap. but hey, it has aps! you know what? screw aps! HTC is the best phone company out there. I have the Tilt from the AT&T, and I've been waiting for ever to have the Touch HD to drop, but they never did because what do you know? they already have the iphone! /incoherent rant
I used to think the same thing and buy HTC phones from Europe before they ever showed up here. The iPhone kicks their ass up and down and it isn't even close.
this is what I'm keeping my eye on too. An OS is very important; thus far I'm happy with OS X on my iphone. I've played with early versions of Android and it definitely has potential. Waiting to see mameo in action; especially since its built on Linux. Also I'm definitely hoping this Tmobile black/dark is true. I've been with them for a long time and $50 for unlimited plan (data/voice) would be awesome. Good to finally see we are getting same deals as Europe has been getting for years, now.
Android is the future of Mobile OS since anyone can use it. Pretty soon Android will take over unless Apple decides to license their OS to other companies. Overall, it will be pretty much the same as the Windows vs. Mac market except the iPhone will probably have a bigger share than 8%.
They can create all the nicest looking phones they want, but until they put a better OS and have good application development, it isn't going to make a bigger dent in the mobile market.
