I had hooked my phone up to my PC using Activesync 4.5. It told me that my phone was already setup with another PC and I had to create a new PC name. So I just used the default and it started reading my phone and syncing up.

It eventually came to this prompt:

Now here's where I went blank. I think I clicked either the 1st option or the last option. Now the previous PC name in Activesync, when it was setup with my phone, had the contacts/calendar/tasks, etc. grayed out (I forgot one thing to mention - I don't have Outlook on my PC), so it would only sync up favorites/files/media. I figured it was the same way with the new PC name I created. Well, after transferring some music to my phone and disconnecting my phone from the PC, all my contacts disappeared from my phone! I looked to see if I had a backup on my SIM card and I didn't see anything. I don't know where to look in ActiveSync for my contacts. I checked the Windows Address Book and Outlook Express to see if ActiveSync imported the contacts there. Didn't see it anywhere. Installed Outlook on my PC to see if it might come up that way. Nothing.

Where else could it be on my PC?? Please HELP!

Man I had a similar problem but I did have Outlook, so it was just a profile switch away for me. Went into Outlook, had the wrong profile selected and voila it solved my problem. If you had it, I would say look in Outlook. You likely pressed the first one, the last one would not have erased anything. Right now, my Dash is not even Sync-ing at all...
