He is just full of crap.

Up 3-1 on Detroit and he didn't have optimism?

Up 2-0 coming home for 2 games and he didn't have optimism.

You can't believe anything he says.

He needs to go into politics after he retires. McGrady always makes those feel-good comments that we all are guilty of buying.

    haha..
what i gather from this is that t-mac is such a passive thinker, that he may not have what it takes to win.

Tmac, I hate to say this, don't shot so many bricks. Play like a fighter, don't give up, fight for every chance.

btw, thanks for putting that article together.

after game 1, hearing t-mac say all that. i clearly remember him saying the same thing about the 04-05 team. yet this year, he talks like he doesn't even remember that team existed.

the more i watch the Golden-state dallas series the more i get upset over this. I still think we can win this series because i think we can win all our home games, but if Golden state pulls off the win, i think our defense is good enough to beat them. its basically a free trip to the western conference finals, which is basically the NBA finals since the east will probably be serving up an easy Detroit team.

Thats such an amazing opportunity to basically a championship run as easy as anyone could see for years.

We need to dictate the pace, keep Deron out of the lane cause thats what got Okur off, and hope that our role players play better at home.

The Tmac hate going on in this forum is very irrational. This guy carried us to the playoffs this year and just because he's not producing in the playoffs because the Jazz are practically sending three guys at him on defense is no reason to start questioning him....Let's see how he responds in game 5...You guys do know that he carried us to victory in game 1, right?

Thank you Clutch. It's really amazing the bull**** that comes out of his mouth. We can't believe anything he says. Oh gosh, I remember at the end of our playoff run 2 years ago, T-mac said "We'll be back!" And before the playoff "Its on me, Its on me!". Looking like he's about to knock Steven A's head off. Then, that pattetic ass interview, where he said "I have to inspire my teamates", questioned how he's going to, he busts out with some silence, and umms, and some more bull****.

Seems like this first-round series frustration has filtered all the way to Clutch over disecting T-Mac quotes.

No worries - Rockets get it done these next 2 games.

If you suck at your job and could be costing your company something of importance, does your boss come to you and tell you, "Hey, you're underperforming right now. But since you pulled us out of the mud Fall of 2005, I'll let you slide"?

It's his job to lead this team. It's his job to CARRY the Rockets in EVERY GAME. He wants the max contract and the adoration from fans? Play like you want it.

I absolutely know that people will bash T-Mac for this ... but my point is really not that (probably bad timing for the article). I've listened to a lot of people make it sound like this is the best Rockets team by far since T-Mac has been here, and I wanted to point out that the 04-05 team doesn't get near enough credit (even if it didn't get out of the first round) -- T-Mac of all people should not be knocking that team.

The guards of 04-05 with the frontcourt of 06-07 is, in my opinion only, a championship contender.

i actually don't mind the flaky/selective memory comments, as long as he comes out and shows an "I REFUSE TO LOSE. IT'S ON ME!" determination on court. which he hasn't so far this series, so right now it's open season on every one of his flaws i guess.

I agree, Clutch. Also, though I may tend to think that this team is just a little bit more talented than the 04-05 group, the 04-05 team had guys like Mike James and Bob Sura and Jon Barry who were tough players with heart. This team is in dire need of someone other than a "nice guy"

So that gives the former team an advantage...

I hope TMac shows us that he really does care and will do what it takes...

that combo team will rock! the 3 pt shooting of barry and wesley, the tough attitude of sura, james coming off the bench to provide much needed scoring, yao's improved offense and tmac's all round play.
