How things have changed... I remember 2yrs ago watching T-mac on the bench after his Orlando team was being blown out by the Piston in the elimination game 7, he was joking around and laughing...and I hated him for that. Now this year you could see the maturity, the passion and the fire he has for the game. You could see in his eyes how badly he wants it and takes the defeat hard, like I never seen him before. He gains a lot more respect from me b/c of this. But man, it makes me so sad to see the defeats in his eyes and facial expression. But like he said after the game... "I will not fold...and this will only make me stronger. I will be back, my team will be back, I promise you that" Hes only 26 and Yao is 25, and things are looking bright for the future of the Rockets.
"I will not fold...and this will only make me stronger. I will be back, my team will be back, I promise you that" - Tracy McGrady
Did Tmac Really Cry? Hey, I know this is a stupid thead...but did Tmac really cry on the bench after the mavs killed us?
link It appeared that he did tear up a little bit, don't know what the official definition of crying is.
Man I sure hope so....feel the pain and pay your dues and practice and train in the offseason with Yao...
Sorry, I have to disagree. They had a close-up on him near the end of the game and tears started to well up in his eyes. Then he wiped them out with his fingers. IMO it was unmistakable.
I guess you didn't see his reaction at the end of Game 4 then. Heck, seeing the heart and intensity that Barry played with all series, especially on the road and in the big comeback in Game 6, and his intensity when playing in Sacramento and Detroit, I don't know how anybody can think this guy doesn't care.
McGrady DID definitely tear up and was wiping away his tears in the 4th quarter sitting on the bench, I watched it again on my DVD player to confirm that. The man has tremendous heart and determination. He simply won't be denied. The rest of the league better be terrified of this monster ready to unleash from day ONE next season. I just can't say enough about the heart and grits of this team. Sure, our talent was nowhere near the Maverick's, but we played with twice as much heart as them, and that's why we pushed them to the edge like that.
He was downright SCARY in these playoffs. I'm glad we never have to play against him. Just a few more pieces to the puzzle and this team will be in the Finals...easy.
