My previous post generated quite a stir, some of it warranted some not. For this encore presentation, I will seek to mend the rifts by discussing the similarities between our two superstars.

First, they are both the tallest players at their positions. Yao is a 7'6" center and T-Mac is a 6'8" shooting guard. I can't seem to think of anyone taller than them at their positions. Because of this natural 'genetic' advantage which you can't teach or readily account for in terms of defending them, they will always be unguardable 1on1.

Second, they both did not go to college. Perhaps this is why they share a similar worldview, I would best describe as easy going, innocent, bordering on naivete. This is in contrast to the ultimate 4-yr college grad, Shane who is savvy, high basketball IQ, and probably real world high IQ too being the Dukie he is.

Third, they can do a lot on the court, but the thing they both do best is put points on the board. Ah what a wonderful similarity!

Fourth, they both have not gone past the first round. With our 2-0 record going to Utah, this will both change for the both of them.

Fifth, neither has won season MVP awards. I think they BOTH will win it eventually.

    Any other similarities?

If this thread is about discussing their similarities, why the "vs" in the title?

I don't understand the point of this thread. The first thread was obviously an attempt to generate controversy betwen members regarding who is the better player. Now you're comparing the similarities between the two players but you title the thread "T-Mac vs Yao II"?

what rift is there between tracy and yao?

i watch plenty of Rockets game. Am i staring down the Rockets Power Dancers too much instead of the game?

I think I see them high five, and pat each others butts often. Not unless there is some front they are putting on.

Why are you trying to say there is a rift or a rivalry?
