The article(s) posted online lately reporting that Rockets forward Tracy McGrady is practically gone from Houston's roster for good have me in a reminiscing mindset already. I wonder which, if any, of the many moments in a Rockets red uniform you appreciated the most in McGrady's career? Perhaps you enjoyed him more in a Magic uni, or even in purple during his cohabitation of the Canadian court with his cousin, Vince, in Toronto? Share them all here. Many to choose from. First presser? Big intro party at the TC? Bradley slam ("sucked the gravity right out of the building!")? 13 in 35? The 22 game streak time frame? Or maybe you enjoyed the botched dunk and eventual shutting it down? I, for one, really thought T-Mac would bring us a new piece of hardware in the case next to the Dream years' monuments... but it was not to be. Fun... for the most part... while it lasted. Somewhat bitterly ending... I still appreciated some great moments, T-Mac. Sad to see you go, but even players far your superior have had to bow out or part ways with their team eventually. See you in the memory mixes. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AKOCy9R-h2A&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AKOCy9R-h2A&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LXUfP7fUD5w&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LXUfP7fUD5w&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Goodbye, dude.
It's a shame really. This thing is back and forth. I just wished someone from the organization comes out and announces something official, it's getting tiring.
Hardly, no one is going to take him off our hands. The yahoo article hardly says anything, it's just another Yahoo! idiot spewing nonsense. The statement is completely unsubstantiated and absurd; "DM & RA don't want mcGrady back".. ORLY? we're stuck with him for now, and I wouldn't be surprised if we saw him this season. But I personally would like the Rockets to Marbury his a$$ and essentially end his career/chance to play for another team. It only seems fair.
Guy who gets paid to write about the NBA vs Random person who writes on message boards hmmmmm I say the guy who gets paid to write about the NBA wins... EVERY TIME.
especially if its Woj from Yahoo sports.. he has been hitting homeruns with breaking news for a looongggg time now.. very reliable source. I would say Woj > chron .. by all means..
not to mention that our very own CLUTCH has twittered about this subject. http://twitter.com/clutchfans
So its finally put to rest, management wants nothing to do with T-mac, and the whole waiting for T-mac to be 100% healthy to play is just an excuse. I was leaning towards the latter reason on why T-mac hasn't been playing but the cat's out of the bag now. I remember reading a story where a source said 'no one drawing a paycheque from the organization wants T-mac around' I guess that's true. They should've kept this 'ban on T-mac' under wraps though...this might lower our leverage in trade talks with other teams..they know we're desperate to get rid of T-mac and will use that desperation to lowball us. I trust Morey to make the best trade he can though. I disliked what T-mac did last season but I think he should've been given a chance at redemption this season...maybe he will, but its unlikely. I certainly appreciate what he did for the team before last season and wish him the best in the future.
First of all I'm a t-mac fan. So if a trade is in the works, i hope we have good teams as trading partners. I was thinking of filling up our lack in depth in SG and C positions with our future acquisitions. 3 way trade: Rockets, Kings, Sixers Rockets Get: Kevin Martin, Samuel Dalembert Rockets Give: T-mac Kings Get: T-mac Kings Give: Kevin Martin, Kenny Thomas Sixers Get: Kenny Thomas Sixers Give: Samuel Dalembert Kings will get a superstar who wants to earn his next contract and the young core of the kings will get additional attention. Sixers will get cap relief from the deal and send an unwanted player from their roster spot.

I will be back, our team will be back...well...I am glad he is done with Houston after this season.
the FEMA guy got paid too to save people's lives during disasters, he certainly didn't know more about New Orleans than a 2 year old baby. I didn't call him an unreliable source, I just have satisfactory reading comprehension skills and from reading the statement "RA & DM don't want McGrady anymore", I got "this is my opinion!". Now if he said "according to sources, etc...", it would've been him "breaking" a story. But this just seemed like his opinion of what's happening. my freaking grandma knows that we're shopping McGrady around, it's not that hard to figure out. But that doesn't translate to RA and DM saying that they don't want mcgrady any longer. It's just an attempt to stir up controversy. But let's all forget this nonsense and step into reality: Nobody wants anything to do with McGrady or his contract (even though it's an expiring one, in this economy no one is willing to shell all that dough out for nothing). I'd be very surprised if we moved him before his contract comes off the books. I'd also be very surprised if we played him (and I don't want us to play him, payback baby!). We won't suddenly forget all those "I'm shutting it down" instances of yours, Tracy. Go to freaking hell, you're in Marbury hell for now and I hope you will remain there until no one would even honor your agent with a phone call, well, maybe for a league-minimum contract but nothing more.
You're an embarrassment to Rocket fans and to the Human race. There is a line, there always is. Do you honestly have any class at all?
T-Mac is the only player who's Appreciation Thread gets turned into a Bash-a-thon before the 2nd page.
You could say that about any NBA player who has not won a ring. It's funny that tinman has made two appearances in a T-Mac appreciation thread. At least he didn't say anything too negative about Tracy.
Of the "Star" players that havent won a ring.....how many have never even made it out of the first round of the playoffs? A lot of those players that havent won a title lead teams year after year deep into the playoffs, in some cases the finals, and were beaten by very special teams. TMac never made it out of the first round, and we he didn't play, what happened???
