Well I figured it would take him at least a month into the regular season.

You got to be kidding me? Maybe the team doesn't want him back or what?

That means Nov 23rd at the earliest. Looks like the Rockets want to be 100% certain that when he's back, he's back for good.

Much later than I expected. I figured mid-late October at the latest.

Oh yeahh, I called it in DaDa's thread. They're going to let T-mac get up to speed on his conditioning and cardio which he probably has lost due to all the focus on rehabbing his knee and that will take well over a month. So he might not be back even until mid December.

It could be a stunt like DD has said previously. T-Mac surprised everybody and joins training camp on tuesday, and a whole bunch of PR about T-Mac being a hard workrer that came back 2 months early.

Yeah he'll come back and play semi decent until we're on the verge of trading him then he'll have a mysterious injury he'll announce in the media before telling the team.

I think they said tmac will have a MRI after nov 23. That means if MRI result is good, Tmac can take part in practice with the team. He needs time to back to his game shape. I think DD is right. Mid December is reasonable time for him to play on the court.

Yes, early/mid December sounds like a good bet.

Body shape is not equal to game shape...

I am just curious what they are gonna say on media day. It is pretty sure he is probably ready because he left Chicago, but the team probably wants to be 200%.

It doesn't seem like he is having any setbacks.

But I doubt his cardio is that great. He'll likely get winded pretty quickly since he hasn't run sprints or a mile in a long time. Even in the season I doubt he was pushing cardio with his bad knee.

Shouldn't take more than a month though for that. I think the Rockets are just being precautionary.

    Tue 27 @ Portland
    Wed 28 @ Golden State
    Sat 31 vs Portland
    November
    Mon 02 @ Utah
    Wed 04 vs LA Lakers
    Fri 06 vs Oklahoma City
    Tue 10 @ Dallas
    Wed 11 vs Memphis
    Fri 13 @ Sacramento
    Sun 15 @ LA Lakers
    Tue 17 vs Phoenix
    Wed 18 @ Minnesota
    Fri 20 @ Atlanta

This is our schedule before tmac comes back. Portland twice, lakers twice, and throw in utah, dallas, and phoenix for good measure. The real concern should be if the rockets will even mean anything by the time he comes back :(
