Word on the street is Tracy McGrady followed in Coach Van Gundy's footsteps and purchased 20 more season tickets in the Red Rowdies section.

T-Mac obviously felt a great vibe from the Red Rowdies section during their pre-season home opener against the Grizzles, so much that he purchased 20 more season tix! (This is on top of Coach Van Gundy's 50 season tix!)

T-Mac says that he wants the "HOME COURT ADVANTAGE" and the entire building to be "LOUD"!

I think they will be having RED ROWDIES II auditions at Dave & Busters on Wednesday, November 1st starting at 8 pm. It's the same night as the viewing party of their first game!

Anyone else ready to get rowdy? I missed the auditions the first time, but i am getting time off work today to make sure I am there! Just thought you should know!

I wonder how many coaches/players do this? I know sometimes players have sections in the nosebleeds, but giving away free season tickets? Never heard of any others, great to hear.

Anyone remember the time that KG bought everyone in the arena over the age of 21 a beer? I thought that waas pretty cool considering how damn expensive beer is at most sporting venues.

Yuh.. beer is nice.. but i'm sure it didnt hit his wallet too hard ;)

    quick estimation:

    25000 people in arena with 10000 over 21. 10000 x 5 dollars a beer is 50,000
    20 tickets at 50 dollar a piece is $1000 x (42 home games)

Actually the beer DOES ADD UP

*waiting for edc to talk about how McGrady didn't really do this, the Rockets org did it, and it's a publicity stunt*

Thanks T-Mac!! Not living in Houston, I can't directly take advantage, but it should make the live basketball experience a more enjoyable one.

That would be awesome if this is true.

Is this only for people that are 21+?

i'm not great at math but that would bring the total up to 70. if yao, and a few other high paid players (cough, jho, cough) were able to match tmac then there would be a good tone set in the arena.

Heard this is legitimate and T-Mac actually bought these tix. Why is this so hard to fathom?

Sometimes players do nice things at their own discretion.

As far as the word on the street... the word is true and the street is trustworthy. Code breakin is a mutha!

I think I just answered my own question.. I doubt this is or under 21.. since D&B only allow people 21+

I think it depends on the time, the D&Bs out here in so cal start IDing after 9 and have people leave under the age of 21 at 9. I've seen little kids at D&Bs before with their families its only at night when its 21+. depending on if this is true and they have it during the night then probably. does the game start at 8pm houston time? you may have a shot...they could even allow people under 21 there if they are in a specific party room and have some sort of bracelet IDing them to be underage.
