Well, he also said Novak was the best shooter he had ever seen, so...let's wait and see. Perhaps he is just trying to sort of put Francis, James and Wells in their place?
Novak may be the best sooter anywhere anytime, except on the court in an NBA game? I applaud TMac supporting the guy. The guy is OK. The guy is also gone, the only questions are when and where.
there are others that need to go...why trade someone thats actually going to help and contribute especially in this new offense...
let's see...whatever comes out of t-mac's mouth is completely wrong...all of his guarantees/promises. chalk this statement up as another one. if rafer is starting in game 1, i'll be upset. how quickly people forget that ugly @$$ shot coming out all crooked. i don't wanna see it.
I like Rafer a lot, and always have. He's the only true point guard we have, and he has a high basketball high IQ, and does a great job in running the offense. I'd cut Sura and trade Luther Head, JL3, Novak, and Snyder first before trading Alston. See if Rafer's good play carries over into the regular season. I think it will, so we should be able to steal an expiring contract, future late first rounder, and cash near the trade deadline in February in the process.
Possibly...but i havent been doing the flip-floping alot of people have been doing...ive liked rafer even last year...i rather see snyder JLIII, Novak, Reed, and butler go...i dont think mj or stevie will be able to run the offense quite as efficiently as Rafer.
Well he is right in the fact that he is a true point guard.....now if only rafer could shoot a lilllllllll bit better . Plus Tmac is also right about the fact that he is the "perfect fit" because of his "true" point abilities and sense. So this means that he will probably stay but I wont count out the possibility of a mid-season trade exploration if he doesnt perform well. That leaves the issue of our 15 other point guards (am i right??). I think Steve Francis wont be getting more than 20 minutes a game, depends, he might get a lot of minutes on some game depending on the situation and how he and everyone else plays. But I just hope we can keep the chemistry from last year and hopefully Steve wont be complaining.
Rafer is the best point guard for this system. And has NO TRADE VALUE because of his off court situation, we arent gonna get a good deal for him that doesnt involve us bending over and getting another juwon howard contract. Stop being morons and assuming rafer's gonna get traded just because we have steve and mike. Rafer will not be traded. The rafer hate needs to end already. He's a rocket accept it!
