Remember that first game against the Grizz where T-Mac was bringing the ball up at the beganning of the game and went on a 11-0 run? Why is he not being use at the point anymore? He has good court vision, ball handling and passing skills. I'm not saying to use him all the time, but I think he would help being at the 1 spot during the middle of the 4th qtr in Atlanta. Not only does he have full control of the ball but he is better at post entry pass than both Lue and Ward.

Damn, I'm at working thinking how we blew that game...not a good way to start the day.:(

Ask JVG. I said it before that game. The ball should go through TMAC. Good things happen when he handles the ball. It just makes so much sense. Then JVG does it the very next game and lo and behold the Rockets get an impressive win. I even posted kudos to JVG for getting it even though it took him so long. And then what happens? He abandons it! He goes back to his boring style of play. What is up with the guy. I know he watches film. Did they lose that one? I know he is not that stupid. So all I can say is the man is stubborn. He believes inthis stupid offense that in theory works on the idea that coaches win games not players. WAKE UP COACH!!!

In the NBA the best players win games and the best coaches understand that and utilize those players to the fullest! Get it.
You Mr. JVG have 2 of the best players in the league utilize them 2 the fullest . We lost to the lowly Atlanta Hawks for Christsake.

I will say one thing JVG has made the Rockets a good betting team. I bet against them last night to not cover. I had the Hawks +9. The way the Rockets haven't been able to put anyone away made me feel like it was easy money. I never thought they would lose though. I still can't believe they lost to the Hawks. That will be one of the Hawks 10 victories this year. WHAT A TRAGEDY!

When TMac is handling the ball more, he seems to be more active in getting to the basket. TMac was pretty passive yesterday with Ward and Lue doing the ball-handling. TMac needs to handle the ball almost all the time now. The only times Lue and Ward should have the ball are when they catch and shoot the 3s.

TMac most likely had his duties reduced a bit so he doesn't overdo things and reaggravate his groin.

I also notice that when T-Mac was at point in the Grizz game, there were soo much enegry, players were great at moving withtout the ball causing for easy buckets and the whole team was involved b/c T-Mac know where all of them at on the court. When Ward decided to bring the ball up starting in the 2nd qtr, things started to fall apart and the Grizz got back in the game. It just boggles my mind what JVG is doin sometimes.

It goes to show how important TMac is to the Rockets' offense. The ball should be in his hands 90% of the time. If he is still cautious about his hip and groin, then that is some solace. The Rockets need to minimize Ward and Lue's duties. The only duties they should have is to shoot the 3 and defend.

Yeah, teams press us when a guy like Ward handles the ball 'cause he's just not quick at all. I agree that TMac should take the ball up the court and start the offense. My only guess why they're not doing this right now, as someone suggested, is TMac's still a little banged up.

In the games where TMac was the primary ball handler, Ward and Lue shot a good percentage and turned the ball over only a few times. I think JVG has too much faith in Ward. Maybe some of that faith was broken with the Hawks game. That may be the silver lining.

I just think that T-Mac needs to be more of an offensive focal point regardless of whether, or not he brings the ball up the court.

Loyalty smoyalty, where was the Rockets loyalty when they dumped Rudy. I am a strong Rockets fan but I will not pass an opportunity for them anymore. Just for the record I bet 10-15 games a night bb & fb. And I win more than I lose. I held off on betting against the Rockets for a while cause they are my team. But the offer some good opportunities because of the general publics awe of YAO and TMAC. And last night was a perfect example. They were at minus 9 against the Hawks even though they were playing back to back games and have only beaten 1 team by more than 9 points all season. They played a tough defensive battle against the Nets the night before and they are one of the oldest teams in the league and I knew they would run out of gas the second half. I just didn't expect them to lose. I figured 9 points was enough leeway for us both to win. I am disappointed in the loss but I still have more money in my pocket.
