So, they'll be wearing the shoes in a primetime game, after the polls have closed, while much of the American public will be glued to election coverage and not so much the headlining game on NBATV. Good call.

Yeah they should have worn them every game until the election. I don't think very many basketball fans will see them wearing these shoes tomorrow and get motivated to vote...for tomorrow's election.

They should have upped the hype on this pre-election, and T-Mac should have worn them during the Mavs TNT game and KG should have worn them opening night vs. LeBron.

Oh well the idea is in the right place, maybe a little ealier next time?

I'm guessing it has nothing to do with their political views and everything to do with Adidas seeing another avenue for marketing.

Essentially it's like MLB marking those special balls when Barry Bonds or McGwire were about to break the milestone home run records. Except it's basketball, commemorating the election of the first (half-)black man? Yeah it sounds dirty, but that's business. Maybe the shoes can be auctioned off to charity, or sold on e-bay. All that's important is that KG and T-Mac probably had nothing to do with the shoes and when they were worn and who they supported in the election.

No thanks. We hear about politics everywhere you go these days. One game is enough. Basketball needs to be an outlet where you can go and not worry about politics. Just sit back and enjoy the great game of basketball.

A-freaking-men. Sports is one of the few places you can go to get away from politics. Even this one game has us posting political crap in the Rockets forum. I really wish they wouldn't have done this.
