I know someone posted on him before, but I just like how the kid plays. Also his only his freshman year. If he can impove his shot he will be a great one. I hear Rick Barnes tells him to shoot more in the latest Sports Illustrated. I dont think a lot of coaches tell that to newcomers on the team. So what do yall think of him. P.S. I think they have a game tonight at 7 against Baylor on 51 (on regular television);2(for cable) if yall havent seen him.
Dude's a pretty bad shooter -- I hope Rick Barnes stops telling him to shoot more. Bad things happen when he shoots 10-15 times. I remember he did that against Utah and we got stomped. He ended with only 2-3 assists. I'd prefer he just focus on passing for now. Take the open shots, but otherwise, don't take many jump shots if he can avoid it. Everything else about his game is great though. Good rebounder, just knows where the ball will be like Francis. Incredible vision / passing ability. He still makes some stupid turnovers right now, but that's mostly the higher caliber defenses he's playing, I assume. Ultimately, he makes the UT offense go better than it has in a very, very long time. He's the floor leader we all hope Francis will become.
Yeah i guess your right of him being a bad shooter, but i feel like right now he can drive against any defender. He is so quick.
Yeah, he's great at driving and both hitting the short shot or making the pass to find the open guy. I was more referring to the long-range shooting which is, well, baaaaaad.
