Even though the world games do not really tell whether a player is NBA ready not, I am sure he is at least just as good or better than Dan Lanky or Collier. Could either of those players put up those kind of numbers in a World Game let alone a summer leauge game? I mean he is the leading scorer for one of the better teams in the World Games... He's not a Rocket because we traded him away to make space for Scottie Pippen and his big fat contract. He never played for us and I don't think we ever got a chance to see him even in preseason. It had nothing at all to do with his talent; he was traded to make room for our 'big' acquisition. But, thank you, thank you, thank you, for spelling Turkcan's name correctly.
A guy who shoots 9/11 (82%) 3 pointers, with decent assist number, and leads his team (a decent one) in rebounding and scoring should be considered a very good player.
When this cat came down to work out for us he hit 23 out of 25 3's. He went to Denver and went 25 for 25 from downtown. He is 6'9" and was supposedly a tenacious defender and rebounder. I wonder if he would have declared himself for this draft instead of the '99(I believe) where he would have gone? But hey we ended up with Pippen instead, doh!
It seems that Turckan may have matured somewhat basketball wise. One thing that you want to take into consideration is how much of an impact Hedo Turkgolu has made in the league.
