I was wondering if he wasn't going to be traded. Isn't there some rule that says to trade a player, they have to be on the active list? Trade him for and whatever to Portland for Darius.
Per Tree Mac: "does this mean he'll be traded tomorrow?" No - Van Gundy will make the traditional announcement to the world that Stro cannot play for him to diminish the trade value. Pippen taught how this works. Say you're unhappy and every GM in the league knows they do not have to give as much. See Derek Anderson- we will get less for him after the Van Gundy announcement.
When he got hurt, I said to myself he would probably be out about 6 weeks. Is this guy the worst rocket signing ever?
The worst thing is....why the hell was he even in the game at the end against Phoenix.....it was a DUMB ASS coaching move by JVG. DD
Oh, I don't know, if you are trying to trade him, why have him on the floor of a 40 pt blowout loss at the end of a game?
I don't remember seeing Stro on the bench last night ...and it was a home game. He should have been there. Did anybody else see him?
This is what I would trade in my dream world(it work on the ESPN trade machine). DA to LA for Luke Walton and that Sasha guy and then Stro to NO/OK for JR SMITH..
There are 12 guys on your bench.....you can sit the top 7.....of which Stromile clearly is one. Especially if you are trying to trade him, got to keep his value up, can't trade an injured player. DD
But your playing against their scrubs, and he SHOULD be in their padding his stats for a potential trade. You could look at it either way, but nobody knows when somebody is going to get hurt. But, it seems more important for him to have a good game (stat wise) for a potential trade.
Why? It's one game. It won't affect his overall stats much, plus, no sane GM would take his stats in ONE game again SCRUBS in blow-out time seriously.
