This from the Swift Press Conference which seems to reconfirm the notion that Vancouver is ok with him and more surprisingly he is also ok if the LA PaperClips draft him, I love this guys attitude

"Vancouver is a nice place, and people have misconceptions of the weather and taxes," the 19-year-old Swift said. "I heard rumours that it wasn't a nice place to live. But it is. The Clippers have nice young players. They just don't have enough veterans to motivate the younger players. Eventually they will, and they'll turn their program around."

I'd be willing to bet that they won't be in Vancouver too much longer.

Behind the Rockets, the Grizzlies are my favorite team (what can I say? I have a soft spot for losers.). Now the new Heisley management looks to know what it is doing. And with their lineup (Reeves, Swift, Rahim, Dickerson, Bibby) they are going to be the Rockets' main rival in a few seasons. I wonder if I'll start to hate them.

Maybe it's just me, but any team with Walt Williams and Shandon Anderson starting doesn't scare me too much either.

I'm with you JuanValdez. While I hate the Raptors because all my friends love them, the Grizzlies are easily my #2 team. Shareef is a player I've always had respect for and still feel he is underappreciated and underrated. However, every year they stock up with great young talent and potential, yet either stay in the same spot, go a step back or take baby steps forward. They don't have the excuse of being an expansion team anymore, and this is the year where they have to make strides and earn some respect around the league. Much how the Kings and Raptors did two years ago. Obviously, if they add Swift to an already potent line-up of 'Reef, Bibby and MD, they will have dreamcasters drooling, but can they tap that potential? My greatest fear for them is that Abdur-Rahiim will leave because he will just get sick of winning, and/or Swift/other pick will become a superstar and bolt to a team where he can be the main man.

However, with new ownership, a completely new management team and a coaching staff with a fresh start, maybe they can do what their predecessors couldn't. But with the young talent on this team, they need to add some impact veterans who lead this fragile team to the road to respectibility.
