There should be. I know that the AMC theaters are in Houston. I am definitly going is there is a midnight showing at the local Tinseltown by my house.
I've already got my ticket to the 1:10 PM show on 5/16. I hope it's as enjoyable as Spiderman. That's a tall order, though.
My boss just offered (he bought 20 tics for employees) but I'm not into the Sci-Fi thing so I declined. BTW, why is it SWEP2 if this is like the 8th Star Wars movie to come out?! Seriously doe...
Ok I will explain it, as best I can. The original three Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, are episodes 4,5,6 respectively. There were originally supposed to be 9 episodes(I think). So Episode 1 was the beginning of the saga. The new one is episode 2(the second in the saga) and in 2 years or so Episode 3 will be out. Where it leaves off(or close to it) is where the original Star Wars (actually titled "A New Hope") will pick up. If anyone else can fill in the blanks please do. I can't remember why Lucas started at episode 4 (vague thoughts of a script theft or something rings in my head but I don't know).
I know Spider-Man was playing on the "Giant Screen" at Edwards I-10. Does anyone know if they'll do the same for SWEP2?
They are definitely doing a midnight show. The listing doesn't indicate whether its a "giant screen" thing or not. http://www.fandango.com/theater.asp...heatersFlag_Link=&genre=&refresh_date=5/15/02
My understanding is that Lucas had the clearer vision in his head about the stories in Episode 4-6...plus, he thought they were the more exciting of the story. He never thought he'd have enough money to make all of them... you're right...he did contemplate 9 episodes...but does anyone know what 7-9 were supposed to be about??? what happens???
