Apparently, the guy was driving the wrong way on the freeway. The police stopped him and fear the truck may have explosives. They are searching it now and the south loop is shut down in both directions.

No biggie. It was furniture. Apparently, the guy was Arab and did not speak English very well which confused the police. This kinda thing is only going to get worse. Personally, I feel very bad for the law abiding middle eastern citizens who will be singled out for an act of terrorism by idiots.

    Jeff,
    My thoughts exactly.

Remember not all muslim/middle-eastern US citizens support the use of terrorism. I just fear that many muslim/middle eastern law abiding citizen will be judged unfairly based on todays actions.

Racial profiling does exist... (Sad but true) Unfortunately todays events will not help in that regard.

I agree Jeff. Middle Eastern citizens unfortunately received a lot of harrassment following the Oklahoma City bombing. Everyone needs to calm down and wait for the investigation to finish. We don't know if this was a domestic act.

I agree also. I remember hearing about the Japanese Americans who were forced to camps in WW2. I guess this is going to be the closest thing they'll do to that effect. I feel sorry for those people but I guess that the gov't is going with the don't trust anyone feeling. Let's pray for no WW3.
