I was listening to the radio this morning when Maria from 104 said that there was a website www.survivorsucks.com that knew who the winner was. The site has an explanation of how they found out. This info can be bs or it can be true...just have to wait and see. If you are curious like me click away but beware. ------------------ It's all good!
I hate Survivor. ------------------ please venture to atheistalliance and rocketsonline I AM SPARTACUS
old news, and it's possibly only a rumor. There is also bigbrotherblows.com and realworldsucks.com. All 3 are owned and ran by the same dude. He continued a real world bbs sometime ago after the original site had shut down. bigbrotherblows' main page was taken off line yesterday because CBS' lawyers sent a letter. Their main beef was with the site's feature that allows you to keep a bigbrother camera in a window and surf the net simutaneously. Bigbrother2000.com, the official site makes it all or nothing. This is just one guy, so he can't really legally fight CBS. I personally enjoy suvivor, but I've missed the last 3 or 4 shows (I've only seen the first 3, so however many since then) so I have no idea what's going on. Big brother really hasn't appealed to me and I haven't see more than 15 mins of it. ------------------ PRO HOTTEST CHICKS FORUM!!
It was all over the news yesterday that cbs.com slipped up and revealed who the winner was by accident cbs said it will not confirm and deny any reports about survivor ------------------ Will Work for Clutch 101 Book
I heard this as well, and some reports suggest it was deliberate on the part of CBS, to throw everyone off-track and bring more media attention to it. I guess it makes a little sense. But can you imagine how the actualy winner is keeping it a secret right now? Apparently, the network has the right to sue anyone on the show $10 million if they blurb the outcome. I'm wondering, how does the winner, whether its Gervais or not, hide the fact that he's won a million dollars from his closest friends and family? Man, I never thought I'd get into a show like this. I guess I am hooked. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination. We live for the journey.
The show's producer said that he's heard rumors at one time or another that each member would be a winner. (Last week, they suggested that Ramona slipped in an interview, when she called Gretchen a survivor -- guess who got the axe?) The producer said that there is a lot of misinformation out there, and that they are not going to correct anyone one way or another. IMHO -- they are letting these rumors circulate because it can only help the show. Shoot, they could be helping to start them. It could still be anyone. ------------------ Stay Cool...
Guess who won tonight's immunity challenge? Yes, Gervase. CBS goofed big time. My money's on the G-Man. I wonder how the Tagi alliance broke up. ------------------ It's all good! [This message has been edited by Smokey (edited July 19, 2000).]
There was probably five of them left (4 Tagi plus Gervase) and Gervase won the immunity again, so they couldn't vote for him. That's probably how it worked out. I wish this thread was never posted. I regret finding out who the winner is. I was just starting to get into that show. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel-boy.
Sorry man I feel for you. I thought everyone knew who the "winner" was. This is just a rumor and the site could be totally off. It's still a good show to watch. Way better than that big brother crap. ------------------ It's all good!
Big Brother is a joke compared to the versions I saw in other countries around Europe. It just seems that the characters selected don't have that spark that draws attention to the show. Oh, and that beauty queen? Seriously, I feel sorry for the guys down on Washington. I mean, is that the best you've got? Survivor is another show I've been watching lately and will probably stick to. After two episodes of BB, I see nothing that's worth my time. I think there's a huge chance that the site is correct. So far, they're five out of five. Of course most of their guesses are based on video footage (in which they analyse the identities of those present in the Tribal Council), so the chance that Gervase will end up winning is not as large as you'd expect to be. Personally, though, I believe that the Web Designers made a huge mistake by leaving out that picture. I seriously doubt that it was an elaborate scheme by the guys over at CBS. What leads me to this conclusion is the fact that the web designers have made several mistake since the show began. Before tonight's show aired, they actually uploaded the recap of the episode. This way people were able to figure out that Greg had been voted off the island. Hmmm...can you tell I'm really getting into this show? ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) Man, was tonight's show a shock! So much for that internet leak of Gervais being the winner. Chances are increasing that the egotistical Rich will win. Damn, this show is really got me hooked, I can't believe it. Azim da Dream ------------------ We don't live for the destination. We live for the journey.
I know! I fell out of my chair when Gervase got booted off. I actually a tiny bit glad because now the winner will be a surprise. Still, I hope that god damn Rich doesn't win. I hate that egotistical b*stard. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel-boy.
I don't see Rich winning. The alliance is done -- he would have been voted off if he had not won immunity -- and Sue was leading the way. Even if he did, somehow, manage to manipulate his way into the final two, the jury of the other seven would vote for anyone else. Keep in mind, it's an alliance now of three. In order to make it to the final two, he would have to have one of those ally's -- leaving one as part of the jury. Every one else has been burned by Rich, and would be burned again. There's no way he would survive that vote. ------------------ Stay Cool...
What?????? Gervase gets booted? How come you guys saw this before me? I'm watching it right now...aren't they supposed to come on at the same time all over the nation. What's up? ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) Houston Rockets Space Center- Not just another ClutchCity.NET clone. We're that and more!
I'm guessing you are on the west coast? Most feeds are tape delayed an hour there. ------------------ Stay Cool...
I actually live in Costa Rica. Tape delay? What about live broadcasts such as football games and the like? Doesn't that kind of delay mess with the station's schedule? I just thought there was one general broadcast, but this way leads me to believe that each city has it's own separate station affiliated with CBS, NBC, etc. Too bad. I would have liked to see my reaction when Gervase got booted while watching it. Did you guys see Richard's little dance after winning the challenge? WTH? ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) Houston Rockets Space Center- Not just another ClutchCity.NET clone. We're that and more!
Man -- CBS really did a snow job. When the rumor came out that Gervaise was the winner, the producer did an interview on the topic. He said that there was a lot of speculation out there, and a lot of false information. He said that CBS / Survivor would not dispute any incorrect information. But I wonder if some of this was planned to build the suspense and lead the viewers around a twisted path to find the winner. For over two weeks now, everyone has thought they knew the winner -- and they were dead wrong. And CBS helped. The "X" thing was wrong. The ABC investigative report was wrong. Even the "final four" picture was wrong -- I taped the show and looked back. From the clothes, the shot was from footage for tonights episode -- but it does not appear in the show. The people never even sit in that arrangement -- where you wouldn't see someone else. They are playing a big game, and it's pretty fascinating to watch. ------------------ Stay Cool...
Ace, I'm really not sure how they do it. I think they just provide a taped delayed second feed, and the west coast affiliates use the delay. The idea is that they want to hit the prime viewing time everywhere. Using the 8:00 eastern feed would mean that Survivor would start at 5:00 in California -- not a good viewing time. (FYI -- some dish services enable people to get both feeds -- pretty cool if you miss something. Live events and Football games on Sundays they probably don't mess with. Monday night football and many weekday games are delayed. This week, for example, they didn't delay it. One hour earlier start time means that the 7:00pm game started at 4:00 in California -- there was no doubt why the ratings were horrible. ------------------ Stay Cool...
Thanks for the explanation. Damn it. I was pissed when Richard won that challenge...I can't stress that enough. I think so many people hate him right about now. I guess that's the risk you take when entering such a contest. Imagine winning $1 million by stabbing your "friends" in the back throughout the whole series. Is it really worth having the entire world against you for a "measly" million? I sure don't think som, but then again I'm not such a huge a**hole (I hope) ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) I don't hate Richard so much for his sneaky tactics - that's all part of the game. I have nothing against the alliance.. hell, I'm cheering for Rudy now and he's a key alliance member! What I hate is his cocky, arrogant, condescending attitude. If there's one thing I detest in this world, it is someone who is full of themself. Fat punk thinks he's the only one who can get fish... If I were there, I'd jab him in the ass with that fishing spear. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel-boy.
