i don't pretend to be an expert or even really knowledgeable about nba salary rules and such, but is anyone wondering why kelvin cato ???!!! is making 42 million over 6 years, hakeem is making 55 million over five years, while cuttino is making the minimum (yes, we signed him as an untested rookie) and francis is making 14 million? (yes, this topic has been done before) is there any way where we can get out of these contracts? and if not, what are the implications for the coming year for us? who's doing all of this signing in the rocks' front office? thank you.

What are you talking about? Francis is on the rookie salary maximum of 3 million per season about. No player can get 14 million until they are a veteran of 10 years in the league I believe.

Francis is making 11.9 million over the next FOUR YEARS. He won't make his 14th million till his 5th year in the league, this great age of misinformation.

And Mobley was a 2nd round pick, so he was signed to a 2 year (team option on 2nd year) minimum contract.

I can't believe no one's picked the favorite, well I got him now!

    Bryce Drew.

I wouldn't mind getting rid of Cato's huge contract. Keep Francis though he's worth whatever huge salary he's getting.

It's proposing fun scenarios like these that makes me dread no longer having Thomas Hamilton on the roster.

    Clutch-Devin Gray still is [IMG]

Sigh, while aelliott is away, I'm still his replacement. All first round picks have a scale that there salary must be within 80% and 120%. If my memory is correct, they are not eligible for an extension till between October and August of their third year. If anyone believes that to be wrong, I'll find it for them.

Good point- I'd wager to bet right now he outweighs over half of the NBA's starting backcourts. [IMG]

Need I remind anyone that Walt still wears a uniform.

    The Survivor

You know the old story .... you are on a deserted island, you have a gun with two bullets and on the island with you is Karl Malone, Scotty Pippen and Walt Williams.

    Who would survive?

    Answer:

Keeping with the theme that the most useless one should be the first to go ... Both Pippen and Malone would survive, because you would shoot Walt twice and then pistol whip him until he was mincemeat. Then feed him to the crabs.

LOL!! You sure you wouldn't save the bullets just in case Two Sammiches came, and he tried to eat you, so you had to shoot him twice, once to get through the fat, and the other to kill him?

In the Pippen, Malone, Williams scenario, I'd have to put a bullet in Pippen and Malone. That would save a lot of the inevitable whining and complaining that would come from those 2 about wanting to be traded to another island [IMG]

Well, the ideal situation, would be to transfer Pippen's guts, heart, and brain (there's very little of all of those) into Walt's body, then shooting Walt. Kinda like killing 2 birds with 1 stone, except there's only 1 bird....sorta. [IMG]

I would wait a little while and let Walt knock himself off by head-butting Karl's elbow and then Pip would eventually Quit the island and swim away (hopefully to be shark food) claiming it was my fault.

Then i would use both bullets on Karl, telling him the first one was for Luc and the second one was just because he is a tool.

First, Walt and I would track down Malone and Pippen and force testimonials out of them similar to the one Arnold Schwartzenegger and Tom Arnold got out of that guy in True Lies. After that, we'd just slap Malone around, call him a jackass, ask him if he felt lucky, and then shoot him before he could respond. Then I'd shoot Pippen in the leg and Walt and I would have a very enjoyable game of "Goodfellas kickball."

Between Walt and I, there wouldn't be enough coconuts to share with Pippen. He would eventually die of starvation from refusing to eat the rats we'd offer him on account of cannibalism. Not being ones to waste resources, Walt and I would build a boat out of Pippen's nose and ride the current back to the mainland.

This is how I would do it.

Point the gun at Malone and yell BANG! He would FLOP .... onto a sharpened stick that I set up in advance and be killed!

    Then - Shoot Pippen twice.

Walt and I would then burn the bodies as a rescue fire and be saved. Easy ........
