This vote was bogus. They all praise Natalie, but tell me what's the difference between her and Mick. They played the same game. Russell hands down won Survivor Samoa. There is an * beside this season.
LOL a lot of people still do, that's why they are still on air. anyways, yeah, i want Russell to win. but the group of people who are voting are a bunch of bitter losers. but at end of the day, he makes more money than any of them. envy is a b****.
This season is like the Rob and Amber season, Rob did all the heavy lifting and Amber won. This season Russell did all the heavy lifting and Natalie won.
Yeah, but Russell should not have gone out like that. They voted like high school, the popular girl wins. Natalie made one good move in getting Erick out, but if it hadn't been for Russell finding the hidden immunity idol, and getting shambo on their side, foa foa would have been picked off one by one. They are just bitter players and that's it. The same thing happened in Big Brother and Jordan. Popular girl, did nothing to win.
So true. If Russell was suave and good looking, they'd have been more forgiving. But he had zero charm. They would've voted for anyone over Russell (except Shambo, who was even less charming). I know that social skills are part of the game, but it should be more than just a charm contest.
Just came in to turd in the punch bowl, did ya? I thought they were all just too bitter about how well Russel played. I thought he never should have made it this far, but he made it happen and played the best game. She did not deserve to win, neither did Mick. That said, it's his own fault, he got too cocky and let it show far too many times. I also thought he could have had a better speech in terms of people empathizing with him and understanding his good points and others bad points. Taking all that into account, I wasn't as amazed he lost as I thought I would be going into tonight.
I tried to rationalize why these people would NOT have voted for Russel and I came up with the following: - They vote with their emotions, not their brain. - Couldn't admit Russel out-played the living crap out of them. - Didn't want a millionaire to get a million dollars. - They are idiots. It seems it would be one of the above reasons, and they tried to rationalize it by talking about Natalie's "strategy" (which there wasn't any). Russel was right: her best move in the game was to ride his coattails.
Russell doesn't own an oil company. Please, someone tell me which oil company he owns.... I think he works the night shift at the local Chevron..... Natalie deserved to win because she looks hot in a bikini. I mean, did you SEE her in that Shena outfit this season? Hole. E. Jesus.
Russell will go down as the greatest Survivor ever. He just didn't get the title to prove it. This fact makes Survivor a flawed game. He outplayed every single one of them. The only guy that is even in the conversation with Russell is Richard Hatch.
I don't agree that Russell played an amazing game, he wasnt a well rounded player and IMO he ONLY concentrated on the strategic moves with other players.. Russell had NO social game and I'm lost as to why so many of you think he played a better game than the others when so many tribe members just straight up didn't like him.. I'm a big fan of the show and while he I think he played a solid game, by no means will he be remembered as the best player to play the game, you gotta at least win to be considered in the top.. IMO Yul from Cook Islands has been the best player ever, it was evident from day 10 or so that he was going to win and nobody could do anything to change it.. The dude was likable, won at challenges consistently, took his alliance of four to the end and he won. I willing to bet when next seasons Allstars airs with Russell playing he wont get near as far as he did this season.. The guys game is just plain overrated..
He came off too cocky way too many times to get the votes. Keeping the last hidden immunity idol may have been his down fall and showed just how cocky he was. He outwitted them and outplayed them but he didn't do it while winning them over which is a tricky thing to try to do. I agree with ima. Natalie deserved to win based on how she looks in a bikini. That is why there will never be a survivor Alaska. Mick... did he do anything the whole show other than get voted as the leader of the losingst tribe ever before the merge?
This is all true. Russell has no one to blame but himself for his loss. If he would have kept his big mouth shut and appeared more humble, he could have won. He also made a mistake by taking Natalie to the end, she was too likable. He would have been better off taking Shambo, who was not well liked by many. Finally, why did Russell tell anybody he was a millionaire? That was just stupid, his ego did him in.
Russell could never keep his mouth shut the whole time so it was his own fault and when he screwed over Jaison he pretty much screwed himself. I was pretty surprised they gave it to Natalie but like people in this thread have said he should have been a lot more personable. I'm sure the jury felt even more validated once they all saw what Russell was doing and saying behind their back. Regardless, I think Russell was a solid player but he really lucked out with the group of people he was stuck with.
