I'm in a small league on Yahoo and after a couple of weeks we are down to just 2. Here were my pic s for the first two weeks. NE over Ari SEA over SF (blowout) This week I have narrowed it down to the three choices you see above. Philly over Chicago: Phi is a 9 pt favorite and according to various power ranking they are a 2 vs a 26. Plus Chi has a new QB. Definitely leaning this way. Jets over MIA: 7 v 31 or 9 v 28 depending on what site you ask. 6 pt spread... Fiedler is coming back for the fins and they are in Miami. Den over Tampa: This one scares the crap outta me. 10 v 27 or 7 v 29. 3 pt spread. Tb is too unpredictable... What do you think?
gone are the days of "locks" in the NFL. i wouldn't bet one dollar on any NFL game at this point. from week to week, it's a crap-shoot.
yeah...and GB was a lock against Chi in week 2 and Denver was a lock against the Jags in week 2 and KC was a lock against Carolina in week 2 NFL games are being played too closely these days to be locks, given the point spread. but, hey...it's your money! as for me, the NFL is far too unpredictable from week to week. even the "experts" seem to be getting trashed.
The Dolphins have dumb and dumber at quarterback, and a 4th string running back shouldering the load this week. The Jets have all the pieces at QB, RB, and WR, if they can get a half decent pass rush going, this game will be a complete blowout. Chicago is dangerous because of Thomas Jones, period. Their defense lost a lot over the past few weeks, Brown, Urlacher, and that 2nd year DB that was pretty good last year. So they probably will lose, but have a better chance than Miami. Tampa loves to create havoc in the backfield and force turnovers. Enter Jake Plummer. Griffin and Plummer keep the backfield constantly shifting and moving, but the Bucs defense is the fastest in the league, they should be able to at least keep this game close, if not win it for the Bucs.
Sure it is. And go with Philly. They are rolling so good right now. They aren't a lock, but it's pretty damn close.
No really, broke ass law students just playing for bragging rights. and I agree about Philly, really leaning that way... the more I read about the matchup, the more I think that.
That's funny, I didn't think any of those games were even close to being locks. With the injuries the Bears have sustained(Urlacher, Tillman, Azumah, Grossman, etc), Philly is as close to being a lock as you can get, despite them playing at Chicago.
