HELL NO! He is WAY too slow! J Terry OWNED him in the play-offs, so all the other 2's in the league would as well. I think something is going on behind the scenes...obviously if Damon is in town and we already 42 PGs on our roster :D . But serioulsy, Sura moving to a 2 guard.....RIDICULOUS! He cant shoot THAT good, and his D is BRUTAL!

    Just my $.02

i completely agree. I also am not to sure how effective he would be off the bench if we signed someone like Damon Stoudamire

    I AGREE.

Sura should be playing limited minutes for us if any at all this year. Jason Terry exposed why.

Sura was a big reason we had a nice little late season surge in wins.

he is a good allround baller.. id love to keep him on the team.

He is not a 2 guard though Actually, he SUCKED in the play-offs. He threw up 0's in the 2 most important games of the season (Game 6 & 7 should you forget).

    Awesome. Non-sequitor logic.

If he is so slow, you'd rather have him play point guard?

Actually he is a 2 guard not a point guard.

As I posted in another thread, I'd love to have him in the role I thought we'd have him in last year--a 1/2/3 off the bench, getting 28-30 mpg. Of course, I was among the few who thought Ward would pan out allowing Sura to hold that role..

(Speaking of which, I maintain Ward was fine his first couple of games until he got hurt, at which point he started sucking and then sat...but I guess part of the reason no one wanted him was b/c of the likelihood of injury. Okay enough about him) ;)

I'd rather him not play at all IMHO. Why do you think we moved McGrady to the 3? So he wouldnt have to chase 2 guards all over the court. IF he is going to play, I'd like to see him get a few minutes off the bench at PG.

Sura was hobbled last year in the playoffs because of injuries. I wouldn't exactly use that as a barometer of his defensive abilities.

If healthy, Sura CAN guard the two. He's done it most of his career.

check yourself... terry owned EVERYONE in Rocket Red in the playoffs

Sura is one of the biggest reasons this team was able to turn it around - and when he went out after the all star break - we started losing again to teams like Utah.

...stop hating on the X FACTOR !!!!!

It's amazing how quickly Sura's contributions have been forgotten all because in his injured state he couldn't hang with a much quicker guard for one playoff series.

Jason Terry was a PG masquerading as a 2-guard.

Exactly. Sura is a very good defender, people are quick to forget and easily forget, the guy was ridiculously banged up at the end of the season, which is why his defense dropped out. At full health Sura contains Terry, I have no doubt about that.

    Huh?
Not only did we not win with Heisman running the show, but it was also the most boring Rockets basketball I think I've ever seen. CW might have been adequate for the Knicks, but it was a breath of fresh air once Sura came back from back surgery.

sura is a good player, but I don't want him at the 2. I think he's a nice swing guard off the bench. We need someone who can hit shots consistently in order to get a high seed.
