Am I just too focused on this or does it seem to anyone else that Sura almost ignores Yao when he has a defender on his back?

When he did pass, it's freaking hard to catch. The guy obviously isnt an PG. Lacks descision making ability, lacks passing skill. He is career scrub for a reason.

Who do you think would win a fight between Yao and Mr. T?

This is not a time to start b!tching. Sura is playing on a bad back through out the playoffs, he has gave us all he have. We all know he is not a point guard, but without him we wouldn't got to where we are today.

Thank you, Sura! See you next season.

Love Sura's energy, but we need a starting PG next year not named Sura.

Sura is a tough guy who gave it his best shot. I think every team needs a nasty dog like him on their team. That said, he will NOT be a starter on the Rox next season.

    Exactly.

On tonight of all nights, Sura's passes or lack of were the least of the Rockets worries.

    Lock this b****.

You know how Mutombo says he's a 12-minute guy? Maybe Sura is a 70-game guy. We forget how crucial he was earlier in the season to get us to this point. He just needs to be spelled.

I really admired sura most of the season, playing at only 60% but with 100% heart. But this series, more injuries, flu, etc, and he plays 25 minutes and has more turnovers than anything else, coming from a guy who was our third option much of the season and had many near triple doubles, the regular sura didn't show up. With his ongoing injuries, I don't think he should be starting next year, but i hope we can get someone who has as much heart as he does. I did notice that he didn't pass to yao often in the series but he did it more often in the regular season.

Yeah. Theres alot of guys I REALLY want to keep on next year but if Houston is serious about winning a title its going to be tough. However we had a great season. We shouldn't do anything dramatic in the offseason unless its going to put us in better position to move up in the playoffs.

I don't think that you can blame Sura. We know he's not a pure PG from the beginning. However, he played his heart out for us this year. He was key reason for our turnaround earlier in the season.

Sura just had nothing left physically in this series. Considering his age and health, I don't think that he should be a starter in this league any more. We need to get a starting-caliber PG and have Sura come off the bench as a two guard.

I agree. I don't know why Sura almost always never passes the ball to Yao. He does pass to other players, but Yao is like invisible to him. So that makes it really strange. James is at least consistent, always tries to take it himself.

It is sad and funny that both our point guards have a scorer mentality.

i had to say... no one is irreplaceable except Yao and Tmac in this team

the 7th game has shown us, loyalty is good, but ability is also necessary.

If you watch all the games, the premise is 100% true.

Sura starts off on the left side. Yao has position in the low block.

99% of the time, Sura does not drop off the entry pass. Instead he immediately swings the ball to the other side of the court and Yao moves away from the play.

It's ridiculous how absolutely predictable he is.

i really can't complain about sura too much. he was our toughness and was a real floor leader for our team. he isn't a true PG and that's not on him for being put in that situation. i hope we hold onto him for next year but at the SG position. either as a starter or key reserve i like sura and the toughness he brings. he isn't a great passer and never has been, you can't tell a guy who's been a SG his whole career to all of a sudden be magic johnson. he did a good job but recognize he was out of position.

To be fair, Sura was sick and not 100% the past two games.
He is got the heart and the will, but his body is breaking down.

Sura has trouble with post passes. They often result in turnovers. Therefore he doesn't attempt many unless he absolutely has clear access. Is that ideal or even adequate for a PG? Hell no.

That being said, the guy is an absolute bulldog and played his heart out for us. I am glad Sura helped us get to 51 wins this season. All the Rockets helped in one way or another. Let's not fight amongst ourselves or badmouth our guys. The Rockets need to make some moves this offseason and I'm happy with the effort all our guys brought. They were fun to watch. Thank you Rockets!!!! :)

Well, to be fair here, I want to point out Charlie fugging Ward is supposed to start as PG. I love JVG, but WTF was he thinking when Ward stunk up so bad last year in his Spurs job.
