thats what ive been seeing, meaning one of the top eight guys in college will fall to us at the 13th pick assuming we dont make the playoffs. That means guys like Battier and Ken Johnson. You have to figure that Yao Ming and Loren Woods would go before Houston picked, meaning you got one of the 6 top college guys to pick from, not too bad if you ask me.

I don't think we'll ever see high school kids jumping out of high school to enter the league--I think the constitutional "right to work" argument only extends to 18 and up...but I could be wrong.

So who are the top 5 HS kids.
Obviously Chandler and Curry, but who else?
GM's womnt take 5 HS kids in the top 10 ever anyway. Of course, that just means one of the HSers will drop to us, but Rudy doesnt seem to like to take them either.

I know Kwame Brown,a big man, is considering entering the draft. Another guy that might be coming out is Diopp, another big man, and a shooting guard who MIGHT enter because of his grades. His name is Jonathan Hargett.

Brown has made it pretty clear he's sticking with Florida, but you never know...he looked pretty good in the McD's game last night

I'll have a heart-attack if 5 HSers were picked in the top-10. If that happened, it'd spell the doom of the NCAA -- well, it would at least considerably change the nature of the draft until the new CBA put age minimums.

Interesting story about a high school kid here in Ohio. I don't know his name but he plays for Akron St. Vincent who won the D3 HS championship. Anyways kid is 6'6 1/2 and plays all 5 positions.
To top things off at the state championship game not only were there HS coaches around but also pro scounts to look at the kid!
Wonder what would happen if a HS sophmore elects out of 2 years of school and declares for the draft? Crazy at that seems I guess it could happen.

I don't buy it. I could see Curry and Chandler, but are the college players coming out so untalented and unpolished that five high school guys would go so high? I can't see that, and I agree that's it bad for both the NBA and the NCAA if that happens. Just watch all the guys the Rockets look to draft go in the top ten (six) like last year. It would be nice if we could get a strong talent to fall to us.
