Funds will be used to support local military families with such services as Emergency Communication - The Red Cross provides emergency communication to soldiers about urgent family situations, such as death, birth or serious illness. They offer the service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Emergency Financial Assistance - The Red Cross makes grants to military persons and their families when their income is decreased or unexpected bills occur. Counseling Services - The stress of separation can cause a wide array of problems that trained Red Cross social workers can help resolve. I heard about this and will absolutely be there. It will be nice do something to support the troops other than say, I SUPOORT THE TROOPS! I am excited about it! I, too, encourage everyone on this board to drop something off. Even if it's just a tube of toothepaste.
