I had a discussion the other day about what superpowers would be coolest to have. The argument was between flying and x-ray vision. I chose flying. So what superpowers would you like to have?
I'd like to be omnipotent and omniscient. if not here's a list of second rate powers I'd choosee from Telepathy and telekinesis are also cool. Ability to exist outside normal timespace would be cool. GO anywhere anytime instantaneously. Eternal youth ,immortality, and invulnerability would be scary. flying is cool. Invisibility would tempt all sorts of illegal actions. Power of magn etism would be sweet except for the fact I wouldn't be able to use my debit card. power over weather would be nice.
Flying would be my number one. Invincibility, eternal youth, and immortality would be awesome: There can be only one.
I was going to say to be invisible but how do you sleep? You can see right through your eye lids!!! I guess you can put something over your eyes but I still dont think I could sleep. My choice would be impervious or immortal, beat that!
The problem with immortality is that eternal youth isn't necessarily combined with it. I don't won't to swivel up like Yoda when 900 years old I be. I figure if I'm omnipotent. I have the power to make myself omniscent, eternal youth, immortality, etc. Its the power that keeps on giving.

Wasn't sure if this was going to be a thread about the U.S. and China or about guys in long underwear. Irresistable attractiveness to women would be nice for me. Although I suspect another poster will claim they already have this one.
Back in my days of collecting the Uncanny X-Men comic book series, I always liked Rogue the best. She was powerful, smart, from the South, and damn sexy! However, I wouldn't care to have her power of absorbing other people's thoughts and powers by flesh to flesh contact. All of her other powers like flying, super strength, and invulnerability would be awesome to have. My favorite villain in that series was Sebastian Shaw, the old Black King of the Hellfire Club. His power was absorbing others powers and then using that energy back at his opponent. An example would be for Cyclops to hit him in the chest with an optic beam. He would just absorb the blast and then walk up to Cyclops and knock him through the wall with his fist because he had gained all that energy from Cyclops and it made him super strong.
Speaking of X-Men powers Manny, I always like Colussus best. That dude was awesome. He could turn into steel and shoot out a energy burst. (at least in the arcade game he could.)
I thought it was a post about U.S. and Chine when I saw the title. If I could have any power though it would probably be the invisible thing. Another problem I see with having immortality is that while you may be immortal you would have to watch all your loved ones perish eventually seeing as they don't have the same power.
hmmm, superpowers would be scary for anyone to have...makes me think of socrates and the story of the Ring of Gyges. Invisiblity, invunerability, immortality. Why be just when there is no one to stop you? Hmmm, I don't know what would be worse, someone with superpowers or gettinbranded as a moderator...
