I would be pretty entertaining playing against that Clippers defense...

Clipps, suck but CP3 does this on a regular even against the likes of the Spurs and elite teams like them.

I so wish we could pull off a trade for him. He & Wade are my 2 favorite players above LBJ.

Wasn't that traveling? To fake a pass then put it back on the ground?

    Oh me, oh my.

I think JVG would have a heart attack watching that clip. And not out of excitement over CP3's cool dribbling.

He never actually picked up the basketball. He just moved his arms in a passing motion and let the ball drop to the ground.

Players allowed to travel in the NBA include Chris Paul, Lebron James, and Dwyane Wade.

That's in the NBA ref's rulebook so get used to it.

By the book, though, I do think it was a carry...well, it was close to something. In the NBA, probably an okay non-call.

That fake pass off the dribble was a move that Maravich and Bird would do. I don't think that's a travel.

its not even a carry! he still had his hand above the ball, not under it. He just picked up his other hand to make it seem like he was gonna pass it, kinda like when you fake a shot by bringing your other arm up.

On top of that he takes 3 step after his last dribble, fakes the pass by dropping the ball on the fouth step. Someone needs to read their manuals more often. Lebron's infamous repertoire of five step dunks is understandable, he is the posterboy. CP3 should be ejected from the game for this!

I don't know what you guys are watching. Everything Paul did there is legal.

He takes two steps plus the gather step as he's picking up the ball before laying it in, which is allowable under NBA rules. I don't even know where the supposed fake pass travel is supposed to be happening. That's just a very well executed hesitation dribble. Chris Paul is a master at controlling speeds off the dribble to put the defense off balance.

I would have to agree with Durvasa. I don't see any kind of fake pass either. All I see is cp3 cutting through lazy defenders who don't even try to stop or get the ball and then he hesitates like hes going back out with a fake and then turns back in for the open layup

You need to watch that ball and his feet, after the crossover dribble, Paul takes one step then drops both feet. That is 3 steps then he picks up another step, fakes the pass and dribbles again.
