OK, someone explain this to me...Since when is Vinny Del Negro worth THREE players??

I mean, even though the players were mostly scrubs, the most I would trade for Vinny The Black would be a sixer of Zima and a towel boy...

When do their contracts expire versus the expiration of Vinny's deal?

Vinny still has one year left on his contract after this one. The three players GS got have contracts that end at the end of the year.

In my opinion, the Suns got robbed. Blount and Garces are six fouls apiece but McPherson could be a solid player in the Warriors rotation. He has amazing athleticism, which should allow him to crash the boards and throw down some vicious putbacks on all of Hughes' bricks.

However in a sad note, the Warriors had to release Chucky Brown, who was with his 11th team, to make room for these three contracts.

The Rockets will be the NBA champions. Believe.

The posters on a Warrior BBS are happy with the deal because it will free some more money to resign Jackson this summer. With the emergence of Jackson, Dampier is an expensive backup and is out of there if the Warriors can find a taker. Blount can catch the backup minutes for 1/4 the price of Dampier. Garces and the other guy (McPherson?) are just trade filler and might even get cut by GS and end up with the Suns

I guess that makes sense...Maybe Golden state is freeing up some cap room to sign a free agent to help out Jamison??

Of course, a free agent would have to WANT to play in Oakland, but I'm sure the Warriors will worry about that when the time comes...

    It's all about cap room.
