Me, and everyone watching the game on league pass last night were subjected to the worst play by play guy I have ever heard. Mistake after mistake. Here were some of my favs. 3 minutes into the game he says," Padgentt just checking in getting some early minutes." Hello you idiot he started the game tonight. My other Favorite was when Mobley went up for a shot in the 4th " He was forced to put that one up with the left hand forcing the miss." here's a clue guy Mobley is freaking left handed. Anybody else out there as annoyed as me?
The announcer was Gary Bender and the commentator was ex-Spur Vinnie Del Negro. What's with all the ex-Spurs doing games? Sean Elliott, Steve Kerr, Del Negro?
gary bender has lost a few steps from his Hey-Day...He is the Home game announcer he is nothing compared to the radio guy...Al McCoy (that guy is really good)
Vinnie Del Negro was making big bucks in the NBA, but it looked like he still got his hear cut at super cuts. Man he was annoying as a player and as an announcer.
Sean Elliott's barber is OK, but his commentating is on par with Del Negro's. My verdict is still out on Kerr. Although, he also seems to have a Spurs bias.
Agreed. I know a lot of you guys love Calvin Murphy, but he's the only one that's even close to how bad teh Suns announcers are. That said, Calvin has a long way to go before he reaches their level.
Idiot's on a whole other level as far as homerism goes. "Nice drive to the hoop and layin by Francis against the Suns. But if Duncan was in there he would of stuffed it into the 12th row!" An example but I've heard him say similar things like that a couple of times when televising games on national tv.
