Amare is a beast and way better than Yao, can't believe some of y'all would take Yao over him.

It's not like you're getting a buck out of it.

well if you looking to build an organization you should take Yao, bcuz Yao means more money, more national televised games, more revenue, more sponsorships with the organization, But if you looking for a great inside player or what some people call him (lebron james of the inside) you should definitely take Amare.

Not many would take him now. Give me Yao all day before his last injury.

You're right. Yao brings that it's true and Leslie Alexander would surely take him again over Amare but as a Rockets fan, no one among us get a penny of the money Les' is doing with Yao.

So as a fan, there is not doubt in my mind that Amare is the obvious choice.

I'd still take a healthy Yao over amare. Let me know when he finally commits to defense.

Problem is, Yao isn't healthy. Always injured. It's a fact that can't be overlooked so you got to deal with it. It's like saying, I would take a better shooting Rondo over Rose.

If Steve Nash was Yao's PG, this statement would not be true,

Give yao a chris paul jason kid caliber PG and Yao would average 30+ points. Heck even a mike bibby would do. Seriously, most of the pgs played alongside yao were trash anyway so it's almost unfair to compre yao's team to amare's cuz amare got nash.

i love yao and all and I would still take him over amere.. but people saying its all nash's team come on give Amare some props. His stats actually did not go down with Nash was out of the lineup. Glad to see Amare dunking on people again and back to being a beast. I still dislike him though since he was a bit of a punk to yao and is still arrogant. BUt he's a lot better than before..

I agree that given now that Yao is injured and might not be the same player again it makes sense to take Amare now..

    1. I would take the Rondo now over a no-heart Rose

    2. I would take Yao over a defense-less Amare any day.

    3. You sound like Amare is not injury prone? What a joke

Problem with the Yao "excuse" (the fact that he's a cash cow) does not win us championship. If you want to make money you trade for AI and stuff like that so they sell jerseys.
