Jason Richardson is a very good player but to me they are flat out admitting that they F'd up with the whole "let's focus more on defense" idea. Raja Bell was their best defender.

hell of a move for Phx..

Bell has fallen off on both ends of the floor without D'Antoni

agreed. this seems like something they woudl have done with D'Antoni there, not Porter.

Losing Diaw also means they don't really have any more of those multi-positional players. Remember when they had Marion, Diaw, Thomas that one year...a bunch of guys who could play PF or SF and created mismatches.

Larry Brown has been whinning for a PF to move Okafor to 5. Does Diaw fit the bill?

Bell is on decline but can provide veteran leadership for a young team. Bell is happy to rejoin Brown who got him out of CBA, I guess.

I like both players the Suns got. Dudley is a good hustler and defender. J Rich will add more fire power to the Suns since both Bell and Diaw are sucking.

The Bobcats sold themselves really short. Richardson is not the defender Raja Bell is but he was the only potent weapon on their team. He will thrive with Nash. He is a solid scorer, strong and explosive to boot. He played well after his injury which makes him even more dangerous.
Nash was the guy who made Bell and Diaw go. It's not going to be the same thing with Felton and Augustin.

Suns should of kept Joe Johnson back in the day, they gave him up for Diaw.

I wouldn't call this trade rape though.
