Going to the game tomorrow, looking for a new spot to scoop up breakfast/brunch on the way. Hopefully will be good enough to make it a habit when attending games. If you know of anything near the stadium let me know. I definitely am not trying to get stuck in that parking lot madness/traffic. Otherwise I usually just bake a batch of frozen hot or thai flavored wings, or go grab a couple of pizzas from my favorite pizza spot. not delivery! I also drink a special kick off beer out of a huge frosty mug i got for my bday one year at Excalibur in Vegas.
drag out of bed run gatorade shower coffee...cheerios...banana couch with laptop (you are here) grill burgers football - texans with my boys football (including new Red Zone channel through Uverse, which I'm excited about) church football sleep
I have a ritual called the "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.
Epic. All I do is get up and get online, start watching the pregame shows, FOX NFL sunday or ESPN, the NFL Today sucks. then I watch the fantasy football show on yahoo and make my last minute adjustments.
I woke up this morning and told my wife that I HAVE to watch the Texans play today. She just smiled and said that she'll take the kids to church and that she'll bring me back something to eat. I love this woman. 11:30.......setup my FF lineup and then watch the game.
I bet no one has the same ritual as me. I do the laundry. Laundry has always been a issue in this house. My wife hates doing laundry, while I insist on having a full compliment of clean clothes to start the work week (and the school week for the kids). I made a deal with her. If she doesn't have a problem with me spending 9-12 hours on Sunday watching football, I will do the laundry in that time. So for the past 4-5 years, Sunday has been football-laundry day.
Agreed, I find Shannon Sharpe hilarious. I hated him at first but its been a total 180 since last season.
I watched Shannon Sharpe kill my team for a decade, I don't feel the need to ever see him again. Now Jerry Glanville was entertaining.
