I already had my vacation for this year, but thought I'd pass this along for anyone who is looking to take a travel in the next few months.

    http://travel.southwest.com/specialoffers/offerDetails.html?id=16706192

Flights as low as $30 each way for nearby cities, and just $90 each way to some of the more popular destinations (Orland, New York, Las Vegas).

You must travel between September 9th and November 18th, and the sale does not apply on Friday or Sunday.

Sale ends tomorrow night (July 8th) at midnight PACIFIC time.

Sunday, not Saturday. Makes it useless for the two trips I'm planning this fall, sadly.

Damn, you're right. Makes sense. The guy that posted the deal on facebook had Fri/Sat.

    I changed the original post.

No Friday/Sunday travel make this a lukewarm deal for us college football fans trying to catch games on the weekend.

Same here. That's my only gripe about college football -- I really wish they could set more primetime games early in the season so fans could know whether early Saturday flights were feasible. Would love to use this for UT-Mizzou in Columbia, but without knowing the time, leaving Thursday and coming back Monday would use way too many vacation days... :(

Not only the vacation days, but you've also got to factor in the extra two-nights of hotel stays. Knowing ABC, that Mizzou game is going to be a 2:30P kickoff with regional coverage.
