I read on the summerproleague.com forum that the game was pushed back to 4pm CST, 2 PST...

At the half, the score was 48-44 Raptors. The game is still in progress. Whoever wants to call the Long Beach State Summer League folks to get the final score call 562-985-7466 or just wait for a report from the good doctor.

At least this one's a little closer...

I'm VERY interested in hearing about Badiane vs. Bosh, head to head. A pair of 19 year old rookies with weight needed to be added.

Why is everyone riding Boki's jock like he's some sort of god? Yeah, he can shoot the rock, he's proven it...in practice. Why such high expectations? He just seems like a glorified Damn Lanky.

"bashing" is not the right word. You are not a real Rockets fan if you don't want Nachbar to bust out as starter material.

it's depression to see him continue to struggle.

    finalsbound,

the difference is a matter of about 20 some draft slots. We are hurt as a team if this 15th pic doesn't pay off, more than Langhi not paying off.

so is there a correlation to summer league and being a successful nba player or not (re: Langhi's excellence and Boki's bad showing)? I don't think it is even a necessary/sufficient distinction. who is running the show? is it arguable that a great point guard makes bad players look better than they are and the converse is true as well?

of course, I'm being juvenile and waiting (f5^1000) for dod to post his review... but deep down I do fear that the only thing good about summer league is that our asst coaches get to shake some rust off. I guess they get to play on their per diems too.

Oh, I'm just being annhilistic. Hurry up BOKI, give me meaning to my life! Come on Malick! You can dooo it!

This raises an interesting question...what with Boki being labelled a 'project', the questionable decision to basically sit him all year so he can be this year's 1st rounder ( I swear I find this as baffling as the WMD hunt), and his health issues, what kind of timeframe do we give the guy before we use the 'B' word?

Does he need to show significant improvement this year? Does he have to become starter material, a key reserve, what? And if he does nothing this year, do we give up on him and bite the bullet?

BTW...can anyone who saw the game give me, a Rockets AND Raptors fan a run down on the game from both teams, particularly Boki and The Bad Man for the Rockets, and Bosh and Jeffries for the Raps...Much apprecitated.

If you succeed, it means you can beat scrubs to a bloody pulp, which is a good start.

If you suck, it means you suck and are nowhere near ready for prime time.

what??? Is there a correlation to the NCAAs and being a successful nba player?

    yes

If you can't do well in the NCAAs, you aren't worth a 15th pick...odds are.

If you can't do well in the Summer Leagues, you aren't worth a 15th pick...odds are.

do you see the correlation now...masterchebe

BTW....Doesn't " Boki and The Bad Man" sound like a bad 1980's hour long action/detective tv show?

    Very Hardcastle and McCormick-ish

    Or

If you prefer Westerns, Angel and the Badman starring John Wayne.

after watching him last night, you still think that was a "questionable" or "bafflling" decision to sit him versus Posey, Rice and TMo.

When he played, he didn't outplay any of the three, right? We just all wanted to believe he was better.
