Love Jalen but like I said before I think Cade is going to be a different level of star. A better shooting, worst scoring Luka. Greens lack of first step so far worries me but it’s early. I’m also behind
I think JC knows Green has his role and so does Alp, so JC has 1 mindset to carve out a 6th man scorer role. Maybe we should let him grab the dreb and go ala russ with the bench unit
It was just the first quarter for Green, he had 3 quick turnovers due to him being a bit nervous it seems. He calmed down and went on a run in the 2nd.
I think we'e seeing Green just doesn't have a lot of experience and confidence with his handle. He's had to work pretty hard to bring the ball up under pressure, and I think if he were a little more confident he go to the rim with a little more force. But everything is a little hesitant.
Green's biggest issue is his playmaking ability, the press is killing him and the traps because he just can't make those reads. Thankfully, it won't be something he'll have to rely on as he's a pure SG but yeah, something to work on.
they play with better, more experienced players much earlier. they aren't sectioned off according to age the way we do. most top prospects in the US don't get that experience until they get to the NBA. if Josh Christopher (for example) had to fight 30 year old vets for playing time as a 16, 17 year old kid he probably wouldn't have the tunnel vision and selfish offensive game. but when you're one of the best players in your class, you develop the habits of a player accustomed to being the #1 option, which they won't be once they get to the NBA
Overheard in the paint tonight: I AM SENGUN AND I AM HERE TO EAT ALL YOUR SHISH KEBABS AND FINISH IT OFF WITH BAKLAVA.
Sengun, I am glad you came to Houston rather than OKC, plus there are probably no Turkish restaurants in OKC.
He'll get those post ups and easy looks once he's on the court with true floor generals like KPJ or Wall.
