Well my exams are finally almost over (woohoo, D in Accounting! I earned that!). As of today at noon, I will officially be on Summer break. If you actually get time off for summer, what are your plans? I'm going to Rome for a couple of weeks in May. Then to Cooperstown, NY for two months to intern at the Baseball Hall of Fame.
If I get a chance, I'm going to Italy on my dad's frequent flyer miles. Or I'm getting a new job that doubles my current salary. It's a win/win summer for me!
No big plans for me. Still have to finish out this week at school, then I've got like 3 or 4 days next week. My big plans are: -Hit a small amusement park in Erie at least twice (very small, but fun) -Go to see Hootie play -Possibly see Lonestar play -Eat lots of ice cream -Get a fishing license and do lots of fishing And that's about it. What sucks is that this is my last Summer I'll ever get. After this Summer, I'm going into a year-round program to become an x-ray tech. That lasts two years, and then I'll start my working career, with maybe another degree somewhere down the line.
Taiwan, with a 3 day stop in Japan. HK is a slight possibility. Back to the Motherland. Other than that, get laid and make some money.
My brother got accepted to UT's Summer Academy in Architecture, so I will probably be logging alot of road time between Houston and Austin. I have to make sure he gets to as many Astros games as he can!
work possible trip to europe with the family SA-Houston-Austin run of the Black Crowes/Drive by Truckers/Robert Randolph tour maybe go see a Panic run out west river/lake
Headed to Mexico for our first family trip in 6.5 years. Then spending my one year anniversary with our good friends Steffan, Carter, Boyd, Dave, Butch, and Leroi. Good times. Oh, and hitting The Point next weekend for some tubing and camping goodness.
I am not sure whether or not I will have a summer break for another week or two yet. If I do get one, I will be working, writing, surfing, camping, and trying to save money for my upcoming trip the SE Asia and China.
Travel will be relatively light this summer Two weeks in July in the back woods of Maine. One week white water rafting on the Colorado River in August. And lots of weekends at my mountain home in the Catskills!
Gettin married July 1st. Honeymoon in Vegas. See Pearl Jam in Vegas. And move a week after we get back from our honeymoon.
I am graduating in 9 days from college with a mechanical engineering degree and then I am starting work on June 15 as a design engineer. Might not sound interesting, but this is a very fun time in my life.
