People from the left will say it's just that one guy. No it isn't. That guy's classless behaviour is symptomatic for how the Muslim world thinks and acts. He will be celebrated at home for this.
Also, in fairness, if he wasn't a dick then someone at home might murder him and his family for something like shaking hands with an Israeli. We should probably consider that before bashing the guy too much.
you would hope that this is a solo incident and that an American wouldn't be so classless in defeat.....
I attempted to translate what you've above there from Google and came up with this "meaningless twaddle, it may or may not have any substance"
Well for sure we know if an American was so classless in defeat due to bigotry then it would be front page news.
There is some truth to this as I've been following the story in Judo circles. Unfortunately some Islamists including a radio host have been criticizing him and other athletes who are competing against Israelis. The Egyptian national team has said that they will play whoever and sports should be separate from politics but that hasn't quieted critics. Judo is a very intense sport and Sasson threw El Shabehy with a beautiful throw that surprised El Shabehy. I've seen this type of poor sportsmanship in all levels of competition so it is also possible religion or politics might not have played a role in this and El Shabehy was just upset. FYI a handshake isn't required after a Judo match but a formal bow is. That's why the referee called El Shabehy back.
It's so sad there is so much hate for Jews in the Muslim world. It's also sad there is hate here for Muslims. You think that as a first world country people here would be able to transcend hate.

Don't they have a fairly well-drafted peace agreement, that's still in place? Man in the Mirror, right?
That wouldn't surprise me considering either Brundage or USOC punished those black power fist track guys.
